I think the Amazon Leadership Principles are more general because Amazon has a variety of roles & different business lines. The leadership principles are more general and can be applied across the company to any role. Now, Engineering wise there’s that Engineering excellence internal wiki which has other guidance that’s more related to software engineers

It was only a behavioral question on how I would work with other people to build it. The wrong answer is to start designing or to go straight into coding.

what are you talking about? there are several LPs that talk about engineering productivity and team building (Invent and simply, Deliver results, Earn trust)... and personally, you are free to interpret the LPs as you see fit, and disagree with them as well if you have a logical reasoning behind them,
