If you think I have no idea what I'm talking about - you might be right, but I've put 700 hours into Tarkov back in 2020, so I'm not completely clueless. I've dug up a few old screenshots in case you don't believe me: imgur.com/a/lyx6E0C imgur.com/a/0KXCA4n

wait so u put a few hundred hours into the game 3 years ago and decided to make a video about it now?..lol I mean you have every right to obviously but it sure does explain the lack of accuracy in some things you mentioned
@Liniyka
@Liniyka Жыл бұрын
@@okdarius Hmm, could you point out the inaccuracies? I'm not claiming to be 100% correct on everything, this video is obviously just my opinion. Regarding the "played 3 years ago" - yeah I put 95% of my hours in back then, and only played a bit after downloading it recently. Hence why I didn't talk about things that changed a lot, since I didn't have time to re-learn them (inertia movement and recoil for example)

You could grind in Tarkov OR... you could play the single player emulator that is fully moddable, has a healthy community of fan developers, has better performance and performance enhancing mods (such as mods that allow you to turn off AI that's a certain distance away to ease CPU load) and allows you to skip the grind or take things easy in order to learn. You could even mod in new quests and weapons!

i said to myself the other day "if you just downloaded the game today would you even think its fun" because back when i first played a couple years ago i was in love from the first moment. the recoil, the movement, the speed and punchiness of the pmc was so beautiful. i truly felt like a war machine.

That's exactly how this video happened - I downloaded the game for old time's sake and was shocked to see that it's still full of issues and bugs, and so much more grind-heavy than before.

Very good video and I can't agree with you enough. I actually stopped playing it myself and started playing the "forbidden" version of it Single Player Tarkov. All I'm going to say is this, SPT tarkov is the far superior version. It includes mods made by the players that actually fix the majority of all the problems you can see players having over on reddit. All those little things that really big players had already been fixed and much improved over in SPT and its not even close guys. It's that good. Now if you excuse me I'm going to grab my helmet with flashlight that I can actually toggle on and off with a simple keybind...... just one of the MANY improvements from the real version. Word ....

While I've personally never tried it, I can definitely see how it would make for a great alternative, especially to people who prefer singleplayer experiences like STALKER

@@Liniyka I was hesitant at first but I can say whole heartedly now that it indeed was the right move for myself. It allows me to play Tarkov without all the bugs running rampant and allowed me to finally learn how to play the game even more than the 1k hours I put in the live version. But with the modding in play it literally makes me NOT want to ever play the live version again. Scopes all got completely over hauled with additions of several others added. It's just a collection of all the those little nuisances that are all fixed over in spt. There is a reason BSG doesn't want you to play it I'm just so that. The completely redone attachments mod was what really did it for me. They separated all the stats and have redone all the attachments so it's not about grabbing the best in slot attachments anymore and more along the lines of giving you freedom of choice.

I play both modes, but last news about ban for sharing items with your friends move me to SP like 70% of time, so If i play with friends that is 30% of my gaming time I do in main game, 70% do it Solo in SP. To my I enjoy more SP to Solo and Main with friends.

>Grind for hours to get enough rubles for a decent meta kit so you can go to a map with high value loot >Spawn in and be one-tapped by someone who is blatantly using ESP and aimbot >Rinse and repeat I honestly don't know why I play it at this point, in its current state I can't recommend it to new players unless you really like pain.

I have recently stumbled upon the "cheater video" and found out about the absolute chaos that is going on on tarkov reddit right now, which is, not gonna lie, pretty hilarious. Looks like BSG is finally getting blasted for their incompetence and laziness. Although I have no doubt Nikita can talk his way out of this by promising to fix everything soon.

The game wouldn't be any worse if it had a very basic tutorial on game mechanics, and provided info like damage/penetration/armor material effectiveness/etc in-game, so you don't have to check the wiki constantly. Wouldn't you agree?

I just view tarkov now a days as a glorified tech demo and all the systems afterwards such as skills and quests are an after thought. Still possible to have fun though (if you avoid questing after level 27, this game would be much better if they just removed shoreline as it is essentially woods but shit)

That's an interesting point of view. Sometimes it does seem like Tarkov was made as a "proof of concept" type of project that was never meant to be finished or polished properly.

gotta pay more money for storage space and there's NO other way to put it... and 6yrs of experienced players so far that they want new players to compete against in tasks/quests on the release date lol good luck, i think it's as big as it will ever get and if arena don't make it bigger then good luck again lol oya and its not optimized and will never be cuz of the spaghetti code

I can see Tarkov getting bigger if BSG somehow miraculously fix all the performance/server/cheater issues, but that's veeeery unlikely.

The Moment i Fell in Love with tarkov was when i acc8dently started my First night raid without any night googles or flash light and was just trying to find my way in the dark without any siginifcant map knowledge (was within the First few hours of gameplay) I was Like hiding in a Bush at least i guess so xD .. and some dude was approaching the very Same Spot i was sitting ... I didnt dare to make any noise (12.6 Had different audio, you were actually able to Sneak) i sprayed in the direction i was assuming him sitting( Like 5 feet next to me) and killed that Dude .. He Had some mid tier Gear Like cheap night Googles and a forgrips in a simple ak with bt ammo or Something and lvl 4 armour lvl 3 Helm and stuff ... But Back then i Had the Feeling i killled the biggest chad ever lived and got away with IT BC i was actually able to get Out and find my way ... Ever since then i am searching for that Adrenalin Rush that inhad in that First night raid xD

I just got the game 3 weeks ago, I was playing rust with DayZ on the side, and wanted something more intense so I got Tarkov, so much to learn that I actually downloaded the single player mod to practice and learn more before jumping into regular. Since I play solo a lot in most games. I have come across a few cheaters in Tarkov but about the same for any other game so I wasn't tripping. I do see me really getting it next wipe when I learn stuff.

My biggest issue honestly is the quests some are hard to be hard but the one to get 125m Headshots on every map is an introduction quest? I think it’s kind of dumb. I want them to be challenging hard, but not to the point where I can go the entire wipe without doing it. There’s a culture with them to make things hard to be hard which is kinda boring and I think they lose slot of players with it. I don’t think the quest should be removed by the way just pushed way back. There are also so many quests that encourage sitting in a corner prone snd camping which is also annoying.

The game isolated from the issues has grown incredibly. But the issues became especially highlighted as the player base grew. The cheaters, the server issues, the bad balancing patches that became bandaids for the issues, and so much more. BSG at this point makes me feel like the 140 dollars I spent on the EOD was truly a waste, because I invested into them perfecting the game, that ultimately reached an unplayable state. But hey at least there’s SPT.

small thing but something to be noted, there is a difference to picking bear or usec. Specifically on the map Lighthouse. BEAR are always aggroed immediately by the USEC Rogue npcs. I never pick BEAR but i can imagine a lot of those early to mid level lighthouse quests where u have to go into the water treatment can be a nightmare as a BEAR given even as a USEC once u aggro those dudes you're getting beamed from 400m+ away

Ok lets go: 1 - 1:30 bears get disadvantage at lighthouse map 2 - 3:30 Tarkov has no meta, but obviously if you have good gear your chances to kill other players rises. I ve got killed a lot while using tier 5 gear, by non geared players (for instance) 3 - 4:25 'Quests Sleeping patern' ok (stupid flash drives and salewas), but have you ever completed Punisher or Tarkov Shooter? Theres a lot of those kind of quests (killing pmc and scavs) around the game... 4 - 6:20 Wasting time? This is my 4th wipe, the first wipe it was like the video said, horrible, killed all over the places, not even reached lvl 4 traders... however as new wipes come you start to know somethings like, what time of day is best to play, what path is safer, where's the pmcs spawns and so... As you get experienced you gameplay starts to get better 5 - 6:35 The Performance of the game is horrible, indeed. Yesterday got disconect 4 times and 2 times my pc crashed. That never happened. 6 - Finally, tarkov is a FPS-RPG game, just like a lot of RPG, you must grind to get better. I love RPG game, and also FPS, so for me its a good game (despite the performance issues already spoken). Just like any FPS game, if you dont know how to get in position, control the spray of a weapon, aim, move, get a little further into combat tactics, you'll suck. Don't buy tarkov if you are expecting a FPS game like valorant, COD, star wars batllefront, batllefield and like. The game is very punitive, so you must play detached of success (till now, my survival rating at this wipe so far is 37%). Good video at all! Bye

Hey, thanks for the comment! 1) True, didn't include it as it's so niche that 95% of people wouldn't care 2) Yeah you can always outplay people, but gear is still hugely important in my opinion 3) Punisher has its own problems, like having to farm scavs on customs and shoreline (😴), and the part where you have to wear scav vest on shoreline which just limits you for no reason. 4) Yes, you can absolutely start having fun once you get good at the game, I just don't know if it's worth spending so much time to get good at it. Your choice. 5) Very true, not much to say there 6) In my personal opinion the amount of grinding you have to do makes the game worse, not better. You might enjoy it, that's cool, but I don't.

I started playing from the penultimate wipe. I bought the game when it was mid wipe so i started late as a beginner and I didn't mind it. I was dying, I was struggling to learn the game, I took a photo of the map and had my phone open while playing, but I loved it because of that feeling in the raid and also because gun play and gun customization, I had no other problems. And when the last wipe started I was hyped because I knew more about the game and everyone would start with 0, but.... It was unplayable for me, every raid I was getting disconected, ping over 100, lagging, stuttering all of that came with the new wipe, so i deleted the game. Couple of days ago I downloaded it again and I had a little bit of hope, but I was wrong. Unity crashes, getting disconected, long loading time, not being able to join the raid, freezing and so on. I lost all hope for gaming because this is the only game I REALLY want to play, and I don't mind if I suck at it I just want to experience it without problems. I just don't understand how is it possible that it works perfectly fine when I bought the game but after my first wipe and now it's basically unplayable. Guess I will wait for Russia 2028 (for wich I have absolutely 0 hope) and I highly doubt it will be finished by 2028. I really enjoyed your video, you deserve at least a like, it was even relatable to me and I still consider myself a beginner.

I feel you bro, Tarkov has such an amazing core and concept, it could have really been one of the best FPS games out there. Unfortunately the sheer amount of issues, bugs and bad design decisions that have persisted (or got worse) over the years makes me doubt its future.

after the wiggle video most legit players left. currently it is estimated that 80% of players left playing are cheating. so if you are going to play make sure you use cheats. otherwise really don't bother.
