There’s a reason why Madrid fans are celebrating that he’s staying. He has a terrible mentality, never takes accountability, and blames everything on situational factors. Barcelona can lose 4-0 and he’ll say that they were “better” than the other team because they had more possession. They can lose 2-0 and he’ll blame the grass. This type of mentality is idiotic and is making Barca seem like a joke. This is why they go to UCL and get surprised when they can’t beat average UCL teams. Their standards are based on delusion and smoke. Barcelona, despite being down on their finances, have an overall better squad than your Bayern Leverkusens or your Gironas but even then you have teams like Girona or Villareal kicking their ass. Xavi just isn’t serious, and he also favors Spanish players more than non-Spanish players for whatever reason.

This season there’s a feeling that they regressed because Barcelona aren’t going to win any trophies, but despite their disappointment, their season hasn’t been as bad as you thought it was. One of the positives about the team was they went back to being a team that was reliant on academy players and that was a shining light for them and hopefully in the future, they become top players for them. There was a period where following an upturn in form, they were trying to make a late push for the title and a deep run in the champions league and it just didn’t happen for them. We can talk about how many injuries they had, but in too many games whether it was a mistake or poor defending they always beat themselves. Everyone is whining about refs and inconsistent refereeing and decisions they’ve gone against them it doesn’t help, but it doesn’t mask their inability to show up in big games. This is a team that’s still lacking that mentality of winners and until that changes they can’t be an elite club again. They’re not at the same level as Manchester City/Real Madrid or even an average Bayern Munich team (currently), but their shortcomings on defense and struggles in big games are issues that you cannot have if you want to compete for trophies in multiple competitions throughout the season. Girona are having a good season but they’ve lose home and away to them. They have had so many big losses which costed them and of course it was out of their control, there were things that went wrong for them. Some of their issues yes it’s down to coaching and Xavi has some responsibility to take, but Barcelona are a team that needs to be rejuvenated if they want to get back to competing for trophies because they’re further away from ever before from winning the champions league. They’ve not done a bad job, you look at Barcelona and there’s still some areas of that team that needs to be bolstered big time. You look at Real Madrid in a season where they’ve had so many injuries a makeshift defense and went the whole season without an elite striker, yet they’ve won La Liga and are about to win the Champions League. Next season, they’re gonna get even better because you’ll have Kylian Mbappe Vinicius Junior Jude Bellingham and others on the same team and when they have a healthy defense, they’ll get even stronger meaning that nobody can rival this Real Madrid team on paper. What Barcelona needs to do it’s simple back the manager, get Gavi back from injury, make sure that Pedri stays healthy for a full season, don’t overplay Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi, make a decision on Robert Lewandowksi’s future, get rid of players they don’t need, maybe send Joao Felix back to Atletico Madrid same thing with Joao Cancelo at Manchester City, get a fullback that wants to defend, sign Bernardo Silva, get a CDM LW or maybe another defender I don’t know. Xavi is still the right manager for Barcelona’s long term project, we have to be patient with him, he’s made some mistakes he’s gotten his team wrong at times, as a young manager he’s still learning and the fans and the club need to be behind the manager at all times.

As a Barca fan, Xavi's biggest flaw is he let's his personal opinion of players i.e rather he likes them or not decide his rotation and starting 11. You can't run a team that way. Its like a dad running a team and he makes sure his kids start even if his kids aren't the best options in that moment. Its often said that the way Xavi works is you have to gain his trust, become a yes man, and do exactly what he wants as he wants it. That actually isn't ideal. You want a little bit of tension between a player and manager that never crosses the line bc there is respect. We saw that with Becks and Sir Alex. Becks entire Man U career him and Sir Alex had some tension. Gary, Rio, Ole, and the others said it was like a father/son thing. It wasn't the tension itself that led to Becks leaving it, it was one moment where they both felt the other crossed the line and Becks was too afraid to speak to Alex. We know all of this through the Doc. Circling back to Xavi, he doesn't allow there to be players who kinda disagree with him and sticks to wanting to play their position. Look at whats going on with Roque, what happened with Dest, Fati, and a little bit with Balde.

It would be nice to be in man city position to have Julian Alvarez as a 2nd option after Haaland. Victor needs more in his game because the 300 miniares he has had to play I haven’t seen anything that has shown that he should be playing over lewandowski at the moment. Do I think Lewandowski needs to be replaced of course but just can’t at the moment because you have to work with what you got.

My problem with Xavi is his absolute blatant bias as a coach. He gives opportunities if you’re an academy product, a big name, or spanish. Where is Roque being slotted in to adjust to the club? I think that Xavi is the right manager for Barcelona despite a trophy less season for them. Something that’s funny about their season is they started to hit top form after he announced his intentions of leaving the club in the middle of January and then there were rumors that he was open to staying, Laporta convinced him to stay they’ve now lost 3 out of their last 4 games, Real Madrid have clinched La Liga and PSG knocked them out of the champions league, people are now saying “Xavi out”, he shouldn’t have changed his mind and have just left the club at the end of this season. I think that Barcelona fans are overreacting. I get it you want the best out of your club, but we have to remember that Xavi is a young manager this is a team that’s still rebuilding and haven’t been in the best state financially and to be honest he’s not even done a bad job to be honest. Last season was a sign of progress from him at Barcelona. During the most difficult period in their history they won La Liga which was their only league title in the last 5 years and they did it in an old school style. We’re used to seeing Barcelona dominate teams by playing attacking football and outscoring the opposition, they don’t have Lionel Messi Neymar Luis Suarez Andres Iniesta Ronaldinho those type of players at the club anymore and you look at how Real Madrid are able to get results while not being great, that’s something that won Barcelona the title last season where getting 1-0 2-1 wins were good enough as without playing attractive football like in the past, that was enough for them to win the league. They barely even conceded goals in defense and that was a foundation for their success even if it didn’t translate into the champions league. Sometimes I don’t think that people appreciate Barcelona’s title win last season.

xavi is the right manager for barca but barca had better option than xavi, its hansi flick. barca need to win in certain style and flick style is close to barca. i mean flick style basically barca style + physicality and intensity. xavi had the right idea and i believe hes had great potential as a coach but he seems kinda slow at adapting tactically. he need years to figure out converting ball playing defender to play as dm is a good idea for broke club, his substitution play often questionable, he also doesnt seems to had lots of tactical alternative just in case things doesnt go his way and now he doesnt even speak with roque. at least speak with him, comunicate what he want roque do on the pitch, what he need to learn so the kid would put extra effort in that matter in return he could get more minutes. its not like lewa perform well all the time either

@@user-wl8om5eu1j I m all for criticising Xavi decisions, but before we do we should consider many factors, we don't know what happens in trainings, in meetings or in the dressing room. Let's take Vitor for example: we should remember that he was planned to join this summer and not in January, so those 6 months should be considered a bonus, an opportunity to take time and learn the Europe football and more importantly the Barça way, he's young and coming from a different environment, it can be risky if he play him many times before he will be ready physically and mentally, he can either get injured because the intensity is not the same, or he can play badly and get discouraged.. also don't forget that there are older and more adapted player in that position that also want to play (Lewa, Ferran and Guiu).. I think it's healthy that Vitor get frustrated for not playing, that is what we want, but the way it was handled that I don't like. He should have talked directly to Xavi instead of letting his agent intervening, that doesn't help anyone, it will put more pressure on Vitor and put Xavi in an awkward position. Regarding Cancelo and Araujo, I consider that Xavi made the right decision to play them regardless of their mistakes, those are Pilars of the team you don't bench them because they didn't perform the previous matches, it doesn't work that way, if you do that then you will hit their confidence and risk them not getting their best level ever again, our fan base has a lame short memory, few weeks ago we were praising Araujo and Cancelo and saying that their they are among the best in the world, the day they don't play we immediately throw rocks at them, I despise that behaviour. starting Roberto against Girona is debatable, but what choice do we have, the only alternative is playing Pedri and we all know he's not 100% fit especially for an intense game like Girona, what I criticise is Xavi playing 4 midfielder instead of 3, In my opinion he should have played Raphinha or Felix on the Left. I also criticise Xavi statements in press conference, saying we were better (neither entirely true or false). but maybe he did it to encourage the team or to give hope to the Fans. As you can see every thing is debatable, nothing is black or white, and the information we don't know are more than we know... but this concept is missing in the fans heads, one day they praise Xavi, the day after they are shouting Xavi out, if some how the club will follow those clowns opinion, then we will end up like Chelsea or United but worse (they have money but we don't), we will end up with no project, sacking manager after manager, and never reaching any goal.

If Xavi cared he would've walked away. He's done nothing as a manager. You can't love a club like Barca. You can fond over a club like Barca. There are so many players in history who get overrated because of the badge they play for. And now Xavi has this force field around him that no other manager would. Its almost as bad as the Ten Hag delusion. And I've seen plenty of Barca fans calling for him to be sacked. Barca have utilized the youth academy forever, and they've wasted plenty of good talents, and ruined their careers. Xavi isn't doing anything special. Iniesta needs to retire because he'd be way better.
