No shit but I’ve seen Flats and tik tok videos saying your team is never at fault which is not true. It can go both ways you just gotta play your best and improve your mechanics, positioning, and gamesense and when you lose just keep playing.

That doesn't mean that it's never the fault of your team for losing, but when it comes to ranking sometimes you'll get a good team sometimes you'll get a bad ons so on the long run everything is balanced and you are the only constant factor in all of this

This is exactly why I sometimes feel like playing in lower ranks as genji is harder than playing in high ranks. Genji is so reliant on your team being good too so if your tanks and healers are just trash getting killed every 5 seconds then theres nothing you can do. Which happens to be what goes on most of the time in lower ranks

As a progressing genji player i definitely have games where i just didnt play aswell, but nothing kicks harder than games where you feel utterly helpless if your tank takes zero space, even if you feel like your playing very well yourself

I kinda feel bad for the guy, because ive had tanks in my diamond games that were silver. Not gold or plat, but a raw silver tank. What's even weirder is how the enemy tank was plat, which is weird because i thought if my tank was a certain rank, enemy tank also had to be the exact same rank. Sometimes matchmaking just sets people up to derank lmao

It's true that the game matches up ranks player to player so if there's a silver then the other team has to have a silver (or close to it), but that doesn't mean they are going to be in the same role

every single game from plat to GM Is Support/tank diff. if you support can land shots between heals and do that tiny dmg that secure that One kill in teamfight... you do same damage at 10hp as at 200hp, there are no reasons for support to blindly pocket you over 90% of health. the game Is too fast for a mediocre After work/school being to understand this. I’m gonna guarantee you as someone who was In diamond 5, those teammates In the video 100% weren’t even in plat 3, much less diamond. Extremely common issue I face it being placed with players who are gold and silver while in a diamond match. And obviously we lose no matter how hard I or someone else carried.

even if ur playing better than your entire team on genji and there is still nothing you can do bcz your team isn’t engaging, it doesn’t make it not your fault. when shit like that happens you have to swap to someone else dude. it sucks but genji sucks without a team so you have to play characters that can actually do something without your team. so many dive heros that can solo kill. tracer, echo, venture has AOE which is great for brawl, and even reaper can be better even tho he’s not really a dive hero.
