Absolutely your best video ever. It was an eye opener to me to see you demonstrate how much rebound there is when hitting some one with the one hand swing of the cane. It would be very easy to drop your cane.

I love how all of these things you suggest would fit with everything else you suggest. If I start to do the wrong thing, I can just continue into something else. If a different target presents itself, I just go for the different target.

There are similar strikes in that old book from WW2, “Get Tough” It used a short stick, maybe 24”? You can stab, jam perpendicular, or hit with either end while turning, also can do those things with a rifle. You have lots of practical advice on the channel, thank you

Another good thing is to be aware of the space you are defending yourself IN. Just recently I was on a subway train and a drunk guy behind me started pawing at me ( he was trying to pick up his phone from floor and was trying to hold onto the seat I was in so he could get his phone off of floor). I quickly got up and turned and admittedly used some choice words. He got upset at my swearing and went to come at me. I choked up on my cane and held on to bar with other hand since train was moving. Luckily for both of us, the train braked and he fell into the area between his seat and the floor, wedging himself in a drunken stupor. It was my stop anyway so I got off. My question is : I choked up on cane due to limited space on train. I had the crook of cane toward the front. Was that a good idea or should I have held the crook towards the back ? FYI, I feel that choking up on it was also effective because a shorter cane gives you more speed when you swing. Any ideas of how I could have done better?

Look on the internet for DIY punching bag, May find something that will work for you for the time being. Old memory foam taped around a small tree! etc! Good luck! Always keep practicing..

Or, you might try hanging up an old tire from a rope over a tree limb. It will improve your timing as well. Good luck with those push ups!

I find it truly funny that guy who certainly knows what he is talking about goes against "common sense" and "everybody knows" and actually shows that only stick man might plausibly carry around is not so good weapon. Of course it can work as one, but if you really don't need a cane to walk and want to carry a blunt instrument just pick nunchaku for sake of convenience of carry.
