Why You DON'T Want to Buy An Entegra or Jayco Product | One Year Review

😭 Cozy LM: we bought a new 2024 Entegra Esteem 29V March 2023 from a large National dealer who is still buying-up dealerships. We were told they had a 2023 29V on-order from Indiana and if "we gave them the deposit that day", they assured us the "Entegra gas region Manager promised they could update the order and get the options we wanted into the coach to be built and delivered in April." 6 hours after we gave them the deposit, they said, "sorry----the one on order cannot be altered to get our options installed and delivered in March and its the last mfg. run of the 2023 model year but, we will sell you the same unit in a 2024 version at the same price: little did we know, they probably paid less for the 2024 because of the backlog of 2022-2023 units and mfgs. trying to help dealers move backed-up inventory. We said yes---shorter story, the unit did not appear until late July: so many quality issues with the coach: pulled to the left, big gap in the cab-over 1 trim-piece fiberglass bunk and the factory filled the gap with silicone (dealer said it was shoddy work), motorized shade got stuck in trim moulding and would not budge, black marks and 2 missing screws in trim around window in 1 piece cap, entry door sticking, inside gen start button would not work, stickering was already peeling back on the drivers side rear coach, frozen slam-latch lock where key would not work, rough ride similar to a rental Class C RV company's units ie: not luxury ride--all this after 3+ years of research for what unit we wanted: I wanted a Class A and my wife a Class C so she could be comfortable driving the coach---so we ended-up on the Entegra Esteem 29V because of it offering several Class A-type features but in a Class C she felt more comfortable driving. I was so disappointed in the dealer/ordering process-----the poor quality of a brand new coach at a premium price----we did our research at Tampa/Hershey shows---did mfg. plant tours, communicated with region managers, product development people at Entegra, marketing people, Senior execs at Jayco----we even waited 2 1/2 years to order to allow the insanity of Covid mfg./demand to settle down along with more realistic prices at retail----When I made a list of warranty items to be taken care of and called Entegra Coach service-----nothing happened for several weeks: I called back in to ask why and was told the dealer had not registered the coach yet (after 12 weeks) so the mfg. could not address warranty work. It took 13 weeks for the license plate to show-up with no explanation why and on and on............When I was able to schedule warranty work, it was 8 weeks until I could drop the coach off at the local Jayco dealer----after 4-5 weeks of assessing what was needed and trying to get Entegra approval, they told me to take the coach back home until all the parts were in and they would call me to drop the unit off again--not losing my place in line. 5 weeks later, they called to say the parts were in--I dropped it back off and they called 2 days later to say they were so overloaded on their lot with units in need of service, told me to come pick it up again and perhaps they could get to it again in 4-6 more weeks: in what business should it take 3-4 months for a service appointment to get worked on!!! The entire experience from ordering to delivery to quality to servicing/warranty was so frustrating causing added complexity--frustration/anxiety and this was a BRAND NEW COACH---of supposed premium quality: we decided to cut our losses sooner rather than later and we ended up selling the coach!!! Think twice about buying if you are reading this: we were told, "driving an RV is like driving in a tornado during an earthquake"---we knew we would have to fix things, etc (my parents full-timed in a Winnebago Chieftain for 5 years so we were not new to the industry)----but, for a brand new unit to start this way and have an ugly ordering experience and delivery and poor quality off the bat and taking several months for warranty work--not worth it to own: will rent when we need to camp and, have told many of our poor experiences and, this was the 2nd largest purchase we have ever made outside of our primary home: at these prices, you would think customer satisfaction would be top of mind but, not in our experience! Our 3 sons & their families are so bummed with us, that they would not, now, even consider buying an RV so generations of future sales have been lost by the industry as well. I realize why you got rid of yours and knew of your issues prior to our ordering------should have paid more attention and not gone through this horrible experience. Sad----

Entegra Coach is my favorite brand of Motorhome but it’s clear to see that they are not perfect… Truthfully I am shocked with your experience and I will be sharing this with Jayco/Entegra higher ups! Wow! I'm so sorry you're having these problems. Yours is such a beautiful rig, with an awesome floorplan. I can't believe they are giving you such a run-around. Well, I believe you. But that's terrible. I have a recall on my Forester - a pvc weld on the awning needs to be redone. I found a dealer in Troutdale do do the work ... in December! They're going to fix a few minor warrantee issues at the same time. Well, the shower leaking isn't a minor issue! But the other things are minor. I haven't had a lot of rain yet, so I don't know if I have any leaks (other than the shower). I guess I'll keep an eye out for the kinds of things you're seeing.

I'm curious, where abouts is it leaking in your shower? That's frustrating! It's a good thing that you at least have an appointment, and a PVC weld seems like a strange thing to have a recall on, but at least they're taking care of it proactively! I sure hope that you have no leaks at all, so knock on wood! I know we're due for a good rain anytime, so you'll find out soon enough! 😊 If you don't have it already, I'd suggest picking up a tube of Dicor Self-Leveling Sealant and a caulking gun. Not too expensive at all, and if there are any leaks, that will cover anything on the roof! Then ProFlex sealant for anything in corners, on the sides, around windows, etc. You'll be happy to have it!

Not sure I would post a negative video before getting rid of the RV. I find it interesting that Matt's RV Reviews offered to share your experience with Jaco/Entegra, but hopefully owners who have negative experiences don't have to rely on KZbin to get them resolved. We love our 2021 Esteem 29V and feel it is the best RV floorplan on the market for a Class C. We have been lucky with repairs from RV One where we purchased the RV and from Ford.

Hi Larry! That's great feedback! We're comfortable with how we're ending our 29V experience because we've decided to move forward with something different that we'll be sharing in our next video! Thankfully we are working with a dealership that will ensure that the work is done appropriately before being sold to another buyer. Of course, we've been doing this for quite a while and completely agreed - this is certainly the best RV floorplan and overall package on the market for a Class C! It's also great to know that RV One has great service, that's so important.

Great info, Cozy RV! You have been more than reasonable in your request for repairs on such an expensive unit. Am I understanding correctly, that an Entegra dealer will not warranty the repairs because they did not sell it? Wow, shame on them! We were pretty surprised because we loved that motorhome and thought the same thing - they've been around for a long while and know what they're doing! In this case, I think we just happened to get one of the rushed units and after trying and trying, we felt better moving on. And thank you! We try not to be upset at what we can't control and focus on what we can instead. It just meant all new adventures for us!

We had considered pulling the dinette out and building desks here but decided this was the better route. By the way, I watched your driving videos before I got this to help ease my concerns about size. I used to be a van lifer in my single daqys and it very much reminded me of driving that (just a little longer and taller). Thanks for the videos!

So here's the real question: does it stay secured while driving down the road? I have a 34" unit that I'd like to hook up, but keeping it from banging in to things is the only hesitation I have! Being a web developer, it sounds like you have a great setup then!! In terms of resale value if that's something you choose to do down the road, I'd say you probably went the right route by leaving it as-is. We have the desk, and love it, but it hurt that resale value a little bit! I'm glad those videos helped!! I felt a bit dorky sharing them but I thought it might make a difference for someone, and it sounds like it did! Yeah, it's really not bad at all, just a van. Just watch that tail swing (not hard) and check your mirrors more frequently, and otherwise just enjoy the ride and the views! 😊

Loud and clear on your comments/observations. Took significant portion of my retirement and purchased 27U. PDI at dealer was a joke and a $1,400 uncharged on the sales price. Got frustrated and exhausted after 4 hours taking delivery that I agreed to take delivery and return unit in 45 days for "warranty" work. Have been doing repairs on my own since 60 days after delivery, mostly poor electrical wiring, plumbing issues and loose panels, drawers and replacing staples with screws to hold it together. A poor purchase all in all.

Wow this really through me for a loop. I was so excited to be in the market for buying Entegra Odyssey but now I have to look for something else. I don’t have the time or energy or even the know how to fix all the things you’ve done in your rig. And I wanted to live in mine full time. This really scares me knowing all these things can go wrong and no one would be willing or able to fix it because of the name issue or whatever they come up with. This is very disturbing. I'm glad it was helpful! We had so much hope for our Esteem, but even the little things like how a small leak from a loose fitting will cause the cabinetry to swell insanely because it's not real wood and instead a fake fiberboard is just so disappointing! These units are beautiful initially, they have wonderful features and great layouts, but they're just not quite where they need to be quality wise (among other things) or us to feel comfortable continuing to full time in it. Feel free to watch our other videos because we are about a month away from a class A motorhome this time, but it's a Holiday Rambler Vacationer 36F. It may seem like a big jump, but I suspect you'll appreciate some of the reasons!

✔️I just spent the last two hours going through every nook and cranny, every millimeter of my 31F ... My main issues are, a screw popping up at the base of the bed under the vinyl floor, paint chip problems, yellow stains in different parts of the vinyl floor, (I had this looked at, and it seems that the glue they used is somehow filtering in through the vinyl onto the surface!) Over the cab window screen opens halfway only. Main door balance loose (I fixed it) Also like you, one of the latches on the generators door was not latching correctly (fixed) Thankfully no leakings so far! The bolt popping through sounds very familiar, the flooring issue is so sadly very common with these. The blind issue in the front cab is so strange, sounds like there's something binding or the controller needs to be recalibrated! What a strange one there! You guys are way too nice.. we are trying to decided on our next rv and all the reviews like Matts reviews glow about the Entegra but we did go down and look at a dealer and Wow... have they gone down hill. We have a 2013 Jayco Jayflight 26 RKS (before the Jayco sell out) and were pleased with it... but since the buy out... it's gone down hill for sure! What you went through on this unit Id be parked out Jayco main office with a HUGE sign that say.. What to see the Junk they build Please step in side! And I would make it my job to stop as many sales I could until they replaced my unit at no charge... that is crazy what your going through and I can tell you... I won't go near another Jayco product based on your video! These things list now for $190,000+ Our 26' trailer at about $27,000 is built better than that... Junk Junk, Junk.... I do blame the sell out for some of this Jayco use to be family owned an they took care of their customers, Now you are just a sale and it now becomes the buyers problem... Your make and model WAS on my short list, was on my short list. I’m now convinced not to buy a Class B+ or C and A’s are out of the question for a multitude of other reasons. I hate pulling a trailer but when they are problems it’s a lot less money. I think if I had 150k pile of problems, I’d be getting an attorney.

Hi Joel and Emma. Congratulations on your new rig. I’ve been watching the new videos as the come out. We are purchasing a 2020 Esteem 29v 😮 from a large dealership and praying because it’s older and built before the Covid shut down, that we won’t have the problem you’ve had with yours. My question to you is when you purchased Zepplin, did you have the ceramic coat put on it? We know it will be an option when we met and inspect the RV next week. We’re wondering if it will help with the paint chipping. We have not seen the RV in person yet, but our third-party inspector only noted minimal paint chipping, mainly on the hinges of the outside storage doors. We do still have the ability to back out. Hello! Thank you! And that's great, really cool and I hope that there are no functional troubles at all and that was pre-nonsense! 😂 I'm sure you'll love it either way. As for the ceramic coating application, we did not. We did apply a product ourselves that's a ceramic wax spray that uses graphene and some other stuff to keep the surface more hydrophobic and a little easier to clean, though I don't know that the surface of the paint/clearcoat would be a good candidate for a good ceramic coating. The paint that we had received was genuinely abysmal, just soft, flakey and not shiny as one might expect. If it's already flaking or chipping, it's possible that a company would apply ceramic coating but I would suspect that most might pass. If we were doing it all over we would avoid the full body paint, but it's also possible that pre-2020 they were using a different vendor/process for their paints! I’m so sorry you are having these problems. We have been living full time in our Esteem 30X for about 13 months and have had none of your problems. However, the floor needs to be replaced because of the glue they used and we can’t find anyone willing to do it because of the 22 foot slide. We are in Idaho and would be willing to drive to Indiana but Entegra won’t give us an appointment. Thankfully, the only issue we have is the floor but I have spent so much time trying to work to find a solution and right now it looks impossible. We are willing to pay for it and let Entegra reimburse us but can’t find anyone who is willing to work with a full length slide.

I love that layout and we're both very glad that you aren't having issues other than the floor!! I've heard TONS about the flooring issues, and other than the bolts under the floor popping up we haven't had trouble, thankfully. We had created an appointment back in May or June for a November appointment that you can have! We had cancelled it because of the trade, but the dates are 11/28-11/29 for confirmation number N1BV8151 and you're free to take our slot if they haven't already reassigned it and are willing to help you guys out! I might suggest contacting the NIRVC because I've heard that they do fantastic work. There's a location in Phoenix and another in Las Vegas, which may save you a few miles over heading back to Middlebury, IN!

I'm very sorry you guys will have to let the 29v go, but for a good reason. Darn it. The 29v was my dream rv to get for the last 2 years. The first time I saw it was with Matt's rv, then I was looking to see a real reviews on this unit and found you guy. I am following your channel for a very long time (it looks like you are the only one on KZbin with 29v) And it saddens me to see you guy having all this really bad issues. I thank you so much for all the videos you shared. I have learned a lot from them. I really wanted to live a life in an rv but what I have learned so far is that the quality, warranty and especially the service of this industry is really bad and absolutely do not mach the price. Oh man, I know that RV's will have issues, but the number of quality assurance issues and lack of Entegra support is very troublesome. We are about to buy a 2021 Entegra Esteem 30X and now I'm worried. I will be looking for all the issues you have been having with your rig to see if they are present on our potentially new rig! Definitely check the floor for any bumps under the vinyl, check all seams and the like, check the cabinetry edges for peeling, and I might even advise against the full body paint, but if you get a good unit, you're going to love it! They're such nice motorhomes, especially with a few suspension component upgrades! For full timing, it would be hard to recommend a class C of this size, but for long trips and weekends and such, it's much nicer than many class C models!

I'm not a fan of lemon law, however, it sounds like you have a very, very good case of lemon law. Red flag to me would have been them telling me it was in an accident, a deal breaker.

That’s not a bad idea, interesting thought and I’ve considered whether water is getting in front around the A/C because the A/C is never on while it’s raining. A few techs and I ruled that out and identified that it must be the slide that’s catching water and directing it inside specifically 🤔

Hey guys, ever have your rv water tank just empty? Filled mine up for a trip, had the switches turned to normal and when I got to the gas station to fill up on gas (less than a mile on the road) all my water drained out the 3 hoses below the tank. Hello! We haven't had it COMPLETELY empty, though we've heard of this from others! Ours has drained down to about halfway, though I suspect we drive on bumpy enough roads that the sloshing stops the suction before it can get to that point! I've been told if you can take the three tubes and raise them to the bottom of the floor above the tank, you can use ties to keep them in place, that should stop this!

Are these solar panels factory-installed, or have you set up on the roof yourself, and if so, what is the cost of it and what gives us, probably 1300W, thanks, Marco

The unit came with 190W of solar preinstalled, and then we added 1200W of solar ourselves. The panels themselves I believe we got for around $80/panel, so right around $1000 for that, then wiring and connections is conservatively around $150, our charge controller was overkill at $750 but you can do it for much less and those connect to a separate battery and inverter which likely doesn't matter. I'd say just the panels and wiring we're at under $2k there, and you could probably do it again for $1500 or so, especially depending on the deals you can get! Larger panels also may be found for a better price, so 250W instead of the 100W panels that we added.

I think you made the right decision; hope you didn't take too big of a bath on the trade. Looking forward to seeing what you're getting next...While my wife and I are still looking, we've abandoned Class Cs as an option because they don't have great CCC once you get up there in length . If we had a 3/4 ton truck it would be a different story, but as we don't, lower end motorhomes are kind of a wash price -wise if you need to buy a truck as well, so we're now looking at F53 chassis based Class As instead. I wonder if you're doing the same? We shall see I guess. Better luck with the next one !

I think we're getting a fair deal, all things considered. The dealership won't be hurting any, I will also say! And the CCC is no joke! We're only around 1,250 pounds or so, it's a joke! We made a few changes to help that out, but still! And I think our next two videos will come in handy for you. I didn't go so much into the tech specs of these motorhomes, because that will be a whole separate video in and of itself, but it's a bit more in depth with some of the materials, the layouts and designs after having confirmed that the CCC is adequate and some other details!!

@@CozyLivingMachine Right. I'm hearing LOTS like this. I'm not buying anything, *not at all* unless an independent inspector signs off on the New Rig I finally decide on. These manufacturers have SCREWED UP so badly that every single RV on the lots need to be certified, repaired, and then re-certified by Independent Inspectors.. I've been RV'ing for about 15 years now, in a class B+ Chinook, 19ft. And while I am in the market for a new and Fancier Motorhome, I'll be damned if I am buying any of these pieces of JUNK. I'm retired and have budgeted $130,000, and they arent getting a penny.. I'll keep using my old motorhome, and the dipwads can Bite the Big One. Here the market is saturated, the Lots are full, and the salesmen are clearly hungry, frustrated and ready to deal .. but with the kind of JUNK they are selling they won't be selling to me.

Interesting question. They drive absolutely terribly at this size. The class Cs under 27 feet seem to do alright from what we've heard, but even after three upgrades to the suspension, they still ride pretty poorly. You can get upgrades for the suspension, though I would expect to upgrade with about $5-10K, depending on whether you do the upgrades on your own or not.

Damn this sucks and is scary! My wife and I very recently purchased an entegra odyssey 29v. Thankfully we don’t need to be concerned about the full body paint but it’s good to be aware of some of the issues that may arise! I do have a question if you don’t mind; we’ve only used the new rv once and it was at a site with no hookups. After the shower ran for about 30 seconds it stopped draining. I started doing some digging and found the air admittance valve under the fridge. I unscrewed it and the tub drained immediately. I took the simple valve apart and it’s working just fine so I’m stumped on what the problem is. I left the valve off so we can use the shower but something obviously isn’t right. Have you heard of this issue before? Sorry for the novel 😂. Love the videos by the way!

Oh yeah, I suspect your Odyssey won't have many of the issues here, and I suspect you'd know if you had the rear slide leak so good news there! I haven't heard of that at all, very interesting... I wonder if the valve is getting stuck closed? It may be something you could pick up from Camping World and pop another one in, just to check for the persistence of that issue. Thankfully, that's not something we've seen and Emma did a quick search on the Facebook 29V forum and didn't see any specific mentions of that either! That’s insane. I remember when you first got it. Your coach is bout the same as my 2021 gulfstream conquest 6320. We don’t live in it but sure do use it. I’ve fixed stuff on it as you have which I consider minor, but small beans to the slides and wacky paint work. A lot of shops that paint semi trucks probably would have fixed that issue. Biggest issues I’ve had are with the EQ Systems levelers. Which isn’t by lippert. Seems gulfstream uses they’re stuff as well as some others but they’re support is horrible, they do have some videos in regards to some simple things but when you go beyond that and call you get nobody to talk to. So the systems work big there are nuances with it and if it can’t be resolved then I’m going to have the entire leveling system taken out and but something in place that should excel what’s there. I’m figuring $5000.00 to replace it cause they don’t wanna do business. Dealing with them is like what your dealing with. I feel your pain and whatever you get next will be better.😀😀👍👍

I've heard great things about the Gulf Streams, so that's a shame that EQ Systems service is even less responsive than others! That's not how it should be at all. @@CozyLivingMachine Gulf Stream stand alone has been great, anytime I’ve called and needed something as for info and tech or a pdf on something related directly to them I’d give them a big thumbs up but eq systems is stand alone and not supported by Gulf Stream. I retired from almost 40 years of semi trucking and seen about everything in the paint shops for them, had a couple three of mine in them and always was happy with the quality. The work I had done was typically more than two colors as well. The turn around time on painting my trucks was right around 2 weeks. They were meticulous.

I had misread your message and thought Gulf Stream wasn’t living up to their reputation! I’m actually very glad that they’re still solid. That leveling issue would drive me mad though! And I know there was a huge scene with fantastic and interesting paint jobs on trucks a while back. I’d love to see that again. I never see peeling and cracking on semis, so I suspect there’s something to that!!

I know I'm very late to the game here, but we are looking at a used 2021 29V and while doing research, found your videos. Did you ever get the leaks resolved? This one looks spotless but now we're concerned if we should even consider it ?

Unfortunately, no. We sold the RV after a year of owning it, and Jayco had no idea what the issue was. All of the seals were intact around the slide as well as the roof and it made even less sense that it was leaking when the slide was in, when it should be least likely to leak! There are many with the 29V model with the same issue, it's possible that someone else had figured it out by now if you check out forums or Facebook groups with owners that share information.

Not that you need to, but you can almost always back out with minimal to no penalty if you need to. Inspect the hell out of your unit before you sign, especially the paint, wiring, flooring (those screws are almost certain to come up) and the cabinetry. There's no real good trick for these slides that I could recommend, ours leaked like crazy when it was closed, nobody knows why lol but don't be afraid to back out if you need to, and I hope you enjoy it if you do get one! That front windshield is amazing, lots of rig in a small package!

Keep in mind, your dealer said it was in an accident but Jayco & entegra have no record of an accident. It very well could if happened after dealership purchased it and with the rv "dealership delivery". That would put it on the rv dealership and not entegra or Jayco which is why they seem like they aren't representing. Also why it wasn't repaired properly.

Especially the newest models, I would stay far away from them. They've taken away one of their biggest advantages - the easy 12V wiring and switches, replacing with a multiplex system. Knowing all of the wiring issues that we had, it's scary to think of what they might do wrong and the impacts that will have, on top of everything else. The Bounder was certainly better, but I would take a look at a gently used Lazy Daze or Bigfoot motorhome. The quality will surprise you when you step in and tap on things, look around and listen for the density of materials. Night and day difference, on top of saving a bundle by buying used.

The paint issue would have drove me up the wall so I am glad I have a white odyssey even though I dislike the common white RV. Where your crack is I think is completely a cosmetic piece because the Odysseys do not have it but the Esteems do, the same I am sure is for the Redhawk and Greyhawk Jaycos. I’m glad I haven’t had the same issues as you guys have had with mine but one would think that the craftsmanship would be much better based on the increased sticker price. Agreed! At least we know where things stemmed from! And absolutely, we genuinely regret not getting an all-white motorhome at this point! I suspect it may be cosmetic as well, though any hole in our motorhome is an immediate red flag!! And as for the increase in price, that's what we figured as well. Doing it over again, the Odyssey trim would be the way we'd go. Maybe a 30Z just because it's so similar to ours! And I'm not going to lie, I would completely understand the unsubscribes, I'm emotionally prepared! 🤣 When we had our Airstream, we followed people just for that, then unsubbed and went over to Scamp-specific channels, then minivan channels... That's an interesting question! Emma and I discussed that, and our dealer knows of what's going on and will perform all of the necessary repairs. This is important because we don't care to spend the time to wait for a repaint, body work, etc on this unit prior to selling. It also doesn't seem ethical to sell this unit without disclosing the issues to another potential buyer, particularly because the warranty is not valid for anyone other than us!

I bought a sprinter van which was the price of a house and could not even use it for 6 months because in had major issues and it was in the shop forever. It was so frustrating. I completely agree. Things are always going to happen, of course, but at some point it becomes just a matter of the unit not being built solid in the first place! Unfortunately, that seems to be the case. In this instance, they were kind enough to continue to cover us under warranty. I've seen folks that are not full-timing take longer trips than we've even had our unit, so I'm not so sure we should even consider ourselves "full time" in this unit yet!

@@CozyLivingMachine More people should be aware of this. I emailed Entegra and that is basically what they told me. That's why some brands specifically state full-time warranty. I've had many people in different groups say, "Just don't tell them or Lie." My thought is if you have a really major issue and warranty can be voided cause I live in it and am not going to lie, then I will go with a company who covers Full Time living. Thank you!! 😊 And you know, I have to say that Jayco makes my favorite roof in the industry. I think that was the most impressive part of the factory tour that we'd done. The fiberglass is decent, wraps around and sealed well, and it's freaking solid! So thankfully no leaks at all, they did a good job there. That's why the slide leak and the rest have surprised us so much!!

I'd ask them if they are trying to defraud you what with them denying the accident being logged. Dodgy dodgy dodgy, and that tear along the cab could be dangerous. Once they get a lawyer's letter asking for compensation they will want to buy it back asap. Good luck. Get your lawyer to scare the crap out of them, then you'll see results. Stress, psychological distress, waste of your time, unfit for use. I'd be worried about fire with a water leak.

I'm glad someone understands our frustration! It's definitely been a concern about electrical issues as well, being that the electrical system is close enough to the leak, though thankfully the water tends to pool down, towards the front of the motorhome, but the issue stands!!

That’s terrible. No way am I buying any Entegra Class C. These are problems that need factory repair. Way too far for you to go. I just can’t believe it. Sometimes slide leaks is because the install on the racks is off by one or two teeth. That will need the factory to address. I’ve. Seen it before. Seal replacement does nothing if the slide is off by even one single tooth. Paint problem will never go away. Electrical problems are very difficult to address anywhere other than factory. I would never take delivery of an RV that was in an accident, never. The accident was a La Mesa accident. Now you know about La Mesa. the reason Jayco didn’t know it was in an accident was because it took place while La Mesa had it. They never reported it to Jayco. Tip # 1 Never try to fix a RV yourself while under warranty, the manufacturer can deny any further coverage.

Jayco was my choice but now I need to rethink. Prices increase due to Covid issues and there seems to be no pride in workmanship. Very sad. After a new travel trailer, a new 35' toy hauler and now with a 34' 5th wheel trailer we've had for 5 years . And to many problems to list on all of them . If you didn't purchase from a really good dealer that has knowledgeable techs. Owning a RV can be your worst nightmare if you can't do a lot of your own repairs . The RV industry needs a LEMON LAW.

I'm a bit confused cuz the way you approach things you seen methodical and intelligent but one the worst things one can do buy a brand new depreciating asset that costs way more than the average vehicle. That initial 20% hit once you drive it off the lot is huge. The glitz and glam of a new unit is gone real quick. I would look into a 10-15 year old Prevost conversion bus they make a 40 foot unit as well as 45. The chassis and frame of the actual unit is stainless steel and welded together as one solid unit. It's a much better quality build and they have to meet commercial safety standards. There have been some that have rolled down hillsides and have been towed up and righted only to be driven off. If that happens in a production coach it's crushed like a flumsy cardboard box. I surely wouldn't want my family in that. It doesn't matter how good of a driver you are because there are a lot of idiot drivers out there that you have no control over. Can you put a price on safety. In my book new and flashy will never supercede safety. I'll take a used Prevost over any new production coach evey day of the week.

That's the problem with production RVs. For the cost of these new RVs you would think these companies would give a crapp about their customers and the manufacturers reputation. That's why I'm a proponent of well used commercial buses like Prevost, Newell, MCI and Vanhool Conversions that have far far superior quality and the conversion companies care about their products, reputations and most importantly their customers.

There’s absolutely no denying those are the way to go for anyone looking for something that’s made with genuinely quality components. I’ll have to make a video or two on some Prevosts or the like at some point. I do love a good bus tour!!

The problem is that it's a JAYCO.... watch there videos on how fast they build there travel trailers... there is no quality what-so-ever.... so that's why I call it JUNKO !
