1 Timothy 5:8 talks about taking care of our home first, it is essentially about order (faith); because if we are angry with our family how can we serve God? I'm not saying that the man who provides should stay at home and do nothing, because that is also a sin of laziness.

i need help. i am a young girl and im trying to get close to God, but i keep sinning. I used to read my bible, pray, but i could never seem to live like him. ive sinned and I don’t know how to get back with him. I fell into relationships which i still have strong emotion connections with, even though i don’t associate with them anymore. i feel and think lustful things and lie a lot and i ask God for help but I don’t feel anything change. I don’t know what to do, it feels like giving up these feelings will also give up the past connections with these people i used to love and care for. when i see a boy or someone attractive, i will think something lustful or judge someone off of appearance and i cant stop. please help me

firstly id say to get your prioties straight. like if you truly beleive that God will save you and that his word is a map to heaven, then you will long to read it or be with him. With the lust or sin you need to understand that nothing YOU do will work. romans 7 19For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. understand that the guilt you feel is good because deep down you know what is wrong and right and you want to do right. But if you understand God has the abilty to forgive our sins, then he will definetly have the power to FREE us from our sins as well. Do the best you possibly can and use God's strength to help you. and one way to help with lust is to think of everyone as a child of God. view people equally and remmeber God has his hands over ur life and He is in control.
