I've stopped playing dota 2 but I remember, one of my most favourite games was with techies. We were basically lost and enemies were on our tier 3 at 30 minutes mark but I just defended high ground for literally an hour and we won at 1 hour 30 minutes mark. This was with the old Techies.

My best game was literally what Slacks said. "I'll buy you 10mins to watch a dota cinema guide" Had a friend pick pango (it was a very new hero at the time and he played it for the first time with no idea how to play him. We matched against a sweaty team that trash talked us everytime they killed us. I was the techies. My friend was a high ranked player, legit defended highground for 30 minutes while my friend had a youtube guide playing in the background. We won at 1hr 50mins.

Thanks to this video I've been playing Techies a lot. I'm finding I can win the Bounty Rune just by pretending to place 3 mines around it, even though my Level 1 skill goes to Blast-Off. Just walk around and stop in a triangle shape and the rune is yours. Really makes getting soul ring super quick.

God. That segment about the games you Remember put such a big smile on my face. 2 games really stand out to me. One unwinnable defense game were I played sniper and my friend played support troll with aghs. Every fight was hard but goddamnit we held the game long enough to win with a rapier The defense where I played Tusk and landed a Max range ice shards in a game we had been on the losing end for An hour on the enemy carry giving us the win. Goddamn. Those games are why I still play this game.

2k games techies on one acc, ~500 on abandoned one, countless techies games in dota 1. Took a break for 1.5 years and when came back, joined tranquil boot dark side. I was less mature and more selfish before, but thanks to your tip about feeding consumables to pos 3 I've improved today. Thanks a lot (redacted): I've played a LOT of techies playstyles, including "take over enemy jungle" one. There was fast dagon techies (vs squishy cores or vs spectre to getting rid of haunt illusion), there was meteor hammer techies, BoT lense ags dagger tinker cosplay techies (was making "tinker forest" my red minefield, also enemy team was never full to participate in teamfight, core instakill piles were present), was fast forcestaff in dota 1 (red piles in 2mm of creep route, fb every game, rocket-man cosplay with 1000 phys dmg instant 3-rd spell with forcestaff), eul in dota 1 (was able to stun for a LONG time with old stasis), fast bloodstone (soundless mines patch after radius rework), and a LOT of more embarassing builds like even MORE greedy necronomicon techies (was good for dewarding but too selfish). Now I'm ascended to never be greedy again and play as a teamplayer, and that one laning strat is just what I needed. Thanks again.

After the windranger viewer catching "video" I started to hate you. Now I finally got the answere why, because you are a techies main. The pressence of your aura was so strong I just couldn't figure out why I dislike you so much. Jokes aside, nice video, kinda love it, and I think the reason why there are so many bad player out there in Dota, its because there are no one to guide them. There was alchemist Jenkins for a time, but no bit sized or just a simply quality made video out there to teach them like this. Most of the "how to play" videos are some random 56 minute Ana uncut gameplay video uploaded without even seen a video cutter, and no new player will watch them. I didn't watch them the beginning, I do not watch them today and all of my friends didn't watch them when they started, and do not watch them even today, because they are simply boring, long and not an effective education.
