This film had one glaring plot hole which spoiled its ratings in India. Lal Singh Chadha took the Pakistani soldier in whereas in Forrest Gump he just saved a soldier from the same team. Now, this sort of thing never happened and cannot be possible when it comes to India, Pakistan and the borders of these nations... Barring this, the film is good.

Thank you so much for your comment! As a Brazilian, I didn’t know the movie had performed so poorly in India, especially because of this. After reading your comment, I talked about it with my wife, and we remember that we also found that scene a bit odd when we watched it. At the time, we just thought it felt strange in general, but now that you’ve pointed this out, it makes so much more sense. I knew there was historical tension between India and Pakistan, but I didn’t realize it was so intense that a scene like this could take people out of the movie and alienate the audience. I really hope that both countries can live in peace. I know it’s not easy - there’s so much history, so many nuances I’m probably missing - but I’m saying this because I can’t wish for more conflict in a world that’s already on the brink. Thank you again for sharing your perspective; it really gave me a new understanding!
