Hi Ryan, this is just a shot in the dark. I bought my wife a Sony A100 camera as a retirement present. It had a YXTM (SA100-s) Korean I think, battery grip. But it does have to have a small connection cable from the Sony camera (DC-IN) to the grip (DC OUT-AA) otherwise apparently it doesn't work . .and it doesn't as I can't find one anywhere! I have trolled the Internet which seems for ages. It is still handy but not used as hit should. Any ideas Ryan? Great video by the way.

Would this still work great with 3rd party batteries as wasabi battieres or neewer or do you use sony batteries only

Yep! 3rd party batteries work fine with it. Using off brand will only shorten your battery life by a bit. Other than that there is no real noticeable change

With my grip when one battery dies it’ll keep shutting off... instead of going straight to the next battery and staying there... is there a fix??

i paid ~100usd for my sony branded battery grip for my a7ii... it was “second hand” but the previous owner bought it and didnt use cos he got the wrong grip 😂

Well after this video I eventually decided to buy original sony battery that says "sony" on it. Because I didn't want to have that "plastic" feel and build quality is important as well. I didn't want to trust my expensive lenses and camera to this off brand grip

@@ryansnaadt Battery grip is great. I don't have to tell. But it feels like it isn't sterdy enough at times even when it's tightly mounted to the camera. I can slightly move grip from camera body when i push it a little. Some say it's even worse in meike grip. Is there any additional accessories to solve this problem? I'm little consirned about my main lens which is a bit heavy.

As long as 2 batteries can go. This depends if you are running 4K or high frame rates as well or how big of a card you have
