Yep, most telecom companies offer stuff like call blocking and spam filters to tackle those annoying scams and spam calls. Just hit up your service provider to check out those features. Oh, and make sure you go for vendors that are trustworthy and don't mess around with your data. Virtual phone numbers? They usually get recycled once you're done with them, so keep that in mind too.

I am ready to subscribe to Talk Route, they sound great. I am starting a freelance business. But instead of a local number or toll free number, can I choose a number in somewhere in the continental US? I don't want my customers to see my local number and worry. I live in the US Virgin islands now and people think of that as not being in the US or a region of questionable businesses practices, even though we are a US territory . My cell phone has a prefix in my home state of California. If I could choose a prefix, I would like to use a number on the east coast which has a time zone that is similar to mine in the US Virgin Islands. We are either the same time or one hour different depending on daylight savings time.
