@@benjaminguillet3210 - Your English is better than my "anything else", and I live in a non-English speaking country. Thanks for the comparison, I would say stick with the same song with each guitar like you did at the end so we can compare song by song if you happen to do this again. Thanks much though I have been interested in resonator sound comparisons.

Resos are so undervalued when it comes to different playing styles. I originally got mine just to slide on but instead I prefer it for fingerpicking (so I take it out of open tunings). It just makes sense to fingerpick something that resonates so well. Thanks for the vid Benjamin. Love a French accent!

Thank you. That is an excellent demonstration of the three types of reso guitar. Of course they are all fine examples of their kind but that spider cone stands out for me as a sweet and versatile instrument. I have a spider cone Gretsch and it's good enough for me, but it's pleasant to hear such high-quality guitars played so well.

Better than a lot of what I've heard here in the states.Appreciated the comparisons.I live by the Michigan state line.I'm leaning more toward that resonator-for having a better action.I play with my strings as low as they will go,without buzzing.Listened on good monitors,and they all had a different tone.All sounded good to me. I honestly think that you communicate very well. Music is a universal language! I once coached soccer,or football. I speak a little Spanish and had boy on my team who spoke little English. I was driving one amazing young man to a college team and he was concerned about his ability to communicate. I told him my Spanish was poor and no one laughed and he spoke with his feet. @benjaminguillet3210
@benjaminguillet3210 7 ай бұрын
Thanks for your feedback. In fact I don't think I'm struggling a lot on my NRP, but the Mule have a lower action for sure. The action on my NRP tricone is around 3.5mm at the 12th fret on the low E string and 3mm on the high E. The solution if you want a lower action is probably to lower the saddle, but you have to take care of the strings angle on the bridge. A lot of resonator players are doing neck reset to have a proper action. A luthier who knows this kind of instrument will probably help you a lot.

Merci ! Elle m'a été offerte par Matt, le boss de chez Mule. En France il faut attendre qu'il ouvre des commandes pour l'internationale. Ça arrive 1/2 fois par an.

Oh that's a tough question. The NRP tricone is the very first resonator I bought, so I learned a lot on this instrument and its impact on my playing is huge. So I'll probably pick this one. But the others are fantastic too.

I have planned to bought a resonator, for my recording purposes. For the long time I used my dad old 12-string acoustic for that. He got that at the time of 1960's from Soviet Union, and it was bought by his older brother, who past away last year. To my dad, that guitar was not very good, because my dad is left handed, and guitar was for right handed. So I have been using his guitar for long time. And now I sell it, because it was not very good for my recordings.
