For anyone that's going to do this, I'd also like to point out to be careful with the way you orient the V-band clamps. They can get in the way of the wastegate actuators and cause problems. Also, if your O2's are rusted and fused onto your OEM downpipes, I would recommend swapping them out if you use an impact gun to take them off because they will likely be damaged and throw your AFR's out of wack. Don't ask me how I know.
@jake_spence4 жыл бұрын
Yes! This is a great point that I'm aware of but didn't think to mention in the video. Tighten the v-band clamps in the same orientation as you removed them. And also a good tip on the O2 sensors.

If you’re a 335Is owner beware:(IDK if it’s just me) ARM catless DP have bad fitment for o2 sensors. There isn’t enough clearance between the sensor and the pipe itself so I went with vrsf way better fit.
@jeffc68324 жыл бұрын
You should pick up some 1/2" 6 point impact sockets and extensions. You get a lot of torque loss with that adapter and the extensions. You get torque loss with impact rated ones too, but chrome are way worse. And whenever I'm unbolting exhaust components, I always try to soak it in PB Blaster first to give myself the best chance possible.

Can you do downpipes or a chargepipe if you have a different tune that the jb4? I have a Dinan tune and asked my mechanic and he said he didn’t know if it would send fault codes because of it?

Jake Spence thanks for the info really appreciate it and the videos themselves. I’ve owned the car for over 10yrs and I’m at the point of do I trade it in for an m4 (which I test drive and wasn’t impressed with, I’d say it has about the same power as my stage 3 dinan but the interior felt cheaper than my 335 and the seats were squeaking up against the center console) or do I add a few mods to make it feel like something new again? My mechanic said to keep it as ive replaced everything on the car and done walnut blasting for the carbon build up so I’ll prob do these mods.

I bought the same exact catless dps from arm and im wondering why each downpipe has 2 inserts for the o2 sensors? Also what o2 sensor spacers should i install so i dont get check engine light
@jake_spence4 жыл бұрын
Each downpipe has a pre-cat and a post-cat sensor. This way they can work together to measure efficiency, etc. One pipe measures the first 3 cylinders and the other pipe measures the other 3 cylinders. I didn't install any spacers, so I'm not sure what to tell you there. There are other ways to code out the CEL ;)
