Red works fantastic. Was out fishing today for the first time of the year. I was experimenting with a different color just to try something different. However as soon as I tied on the red chattberbait...caught me a beautiful 3lber. For this time of year in PA to catch such a nice fish this early on, is a testament to how red anything works absolutely the best!

Down in Texas. I'm having a hell of a time getting a fish to bite at red lipless. I try every year when everyone starts saying to throw red baits. I don't know if it's just this particular lake or what but I get all my fish on a chrome blue back. Bill Lewis rattle trap. I can't buy a bite with a damn red. Which sucks cuz I have so many badass red theme lure

At draper lake it's red mud clay looking dirty!also lake thunderbird same but we call it lake dirty bird! Lake henfer is kinda stained what colors and lures

Thanks Nathan. My take on red in spring has to do with pre spawn aggression. They just don't like red around the spawn. Maybe they see it as a edible threat. The fact that red works so well during prespawn only is the tip off.

Worms swim baits are worked slower than crank. A red crank jetting by especially w the new reels I use my old zebco 1 has a slower retrieve 14 lb test and a great drag 3:1
