Why You Need to Visit Asakusa at Night

I 'accidentally' went to visit the Sensō-ji Temple in Asakusa at night - turned out night is the best time to go there! If you want less tourists (it's usually very crowded during the day) and a beautifully lit scenery, make sure to check out the temple after sundown!

Als ich letztes Jahr im Sommer dort war, war Kaminarimon noch frei von Plastik, aber die schöne Pagode komplett verhüllt 😁 War auch noch ein zweites Mal um 7 Uhr morgens dort, auch fast keine Menschen (nur ein paar Einheimische). Liebe die Ruhe ohne die Touristenschwärme! :)

Sensoji is a totally different place at night. Illimunation, most of the people disappear, refreshing cool atmosphere. I stayed here on my last trip and I found myself walking around the shotengai and the Sensoji grounds late at night. One of the nights was the lunar eclipse and people were out taking photos till past midnight. Highly recommend this area. Many eating options.

Cool! Actually, i'm taking the exams for the Mext Scorlarship Program this year (the exam is 3 days from now on) and I really want to go to Japan, this is for sure one of the places that I want to visit, the climbing on Mt. Fuji sounds fun too! Nice video!

Not to be weird but have you visited a Japanese onsen (bath house)? I visited my cousin and her host mom took her to one and she came back and was like "oh my god I had to be naked along with like 100 people!!" I thought it was funny but she was super embarrassed 😅

If you plan on doing stuff at night, keep in mind that the ATM'S only operate during banking hours. You can get prepaid PASMO or SUICA cards but they are extremely limited to where you can use them.
