Welcome to the KZbin game! You'll get SSL here in no time as well! As others have mentioned: improve your mic (blue yeti or any other similar is a good entry level mic that's not too expensive), plan an upload schedule that is doable in the long run (even if it is once per week, but whatever time frame you decide, stick to it), and content wise, you do you man, just play whichever game mode or game for that matter you feel like doing, being authentic will get you over the line). Congrats again on the vid and go get it!

great first video brother if u wanna set urself apart from others i'd recommend giving general tips while you play the game because not a lot of ppl can do that consistently, squishy is prob a good example but since retals is inconsistent asf with retals university u could do sometrhing similar like that and make it a series, and also getting a new mic should prob be ur #1 priority but W video cheesington

good to see the last of the rmc trio on youtube! for critiques, being new to presenting yourself alone on the microphone is tough and is something that just takes practice, but your commentary will smooth out over time, but there's one big piece, and that's your microphone. two elements to a video, the video and the audio. video is lovely because you're a professional player with a beefy enough pc to record in smooth 1080p60, but your microphone quality drags down the overall experience, chronic has the same issue lol. a better microphone rounds out the baseline viewing experience. the more organic your voice sounds, the easier you are to get immersed in, thus the more enjoyable you are to watch. back when i did rocket league casting lots (collegiate and occasional pro non-rlcs), upgrading from my starter microphone to my shure sm7b made my instantly far better received, and i'm sure your teammates would much appreciate being able to hear your voice crystal clear from a competitive standpoint. i believe retals still has his shure sm7b, but in case you need a reference setup, i have a shure sm7b, a goxlr mini (physical microphone interface, will be the middle man from your microphone to your pc), a cloudlifter cl-1 (clean gain, the sm7b is a very quiet microphone), a compatible boom arm to hold your microphone and a 10 foot long XLR cable just in case. pretty easy to set up as well, but if you don't care to shell out that much, even just a higher quality desk microphone as opposed to a headset mic is a massive improvement, and shure has other microphones in that vein that are lovely as well. cheers and best of luck!
