Hi, quick question to you, what if one player ran away with the set and started well in the second, would you exit for a loss or let it run, thanks.

You will not see a video on this type of outcome

How you manage your losses is up to you, but I tend to work from one break to another. Leaving a position open will give you more chances and therefore a higher strike rate.

This is an excellent video, please how do you apply this strategy to cricket trading?
@FlameFlickers Жыл бұрын
Exactly the same way as was demonstrated in the video. Look for closely matched sides and either lay them both below odds of 2.0 or back them both above odds of 2.0

Say you have a competitive tennis match. Both players slight odds on. You put orders in on both players for £100 at 2.2, for example. If both prices get matched, you make £20, whoever wins. If, however, one runs away with the match, and only one bet gets matched, you lose £100 (if not cashing out). So you need to hit 6 times to every 1 loss to make a profit. Get a couple that don't go your way early, you would need 10 in a row just to break even.

It happens much more frequently than you would expect, especially if you pick and choose your matches and surface types.

I can’t see the edge here! We’ve got 250£ liability and profit of 80£ which means that we need a strike rate of roughly 80%. Is that possible? 3 out of 10 matches the player you lay is going to win the match in straight sets (no breaks) which happens all the time by the way even in competitive matches and we lose money in the long run!

The total return in any trading strategy isn't related to the initial opening position. It's more about factors that occur from that point onwards. So you shouldn't be opening a position and judging on that, as that would just be a value bet. So you should be trading in and out, more than once. The strike rate is going to be very high on a strategy like this anyhow.

the coin toss is not 50/50. The truth is that it is not mentioned when the coin lands upright, that is, vertically, and that probability also exists.
@betangeltv Жыл бұрын
While it's true that a coin landing upright, or vertically, is a possibility, it is a very rare occurrence and is not typically considered when discussing the probability of a coin toss. In most cases, when people refer to a coin toss being a 50/50 probability, they are referring to the two possible outcomes of the coin landing on either heads or tails. However, it's important to note that the outcome of a coin toss can be influenced by a number of factors, including the shape and weight of the coin, the height from which it is dropped, and the surface on which it lands. So while a coin toss may not always be a perfect 50/50 probability, it is generally considered to be very close to it under normal conditions.

It's very easy to say your profit is uncapped etc, but your loss is 'capped', and you can do this as many times as you like, but I find it extremely misleading. Like this will often occur, and you'll win £40-£60 like you did on this occasion, but when it doesn't occur you lose the £250. Also, you say you can do it as many times as you like, but that would only end up beneficial for you providing you get both sides actually matched each time you do it. Otherwise your £40 profit if you tried it again, could well turn into a £210 loss, when you lose the £250 because you tried to do it too many times, and one player just runs away with the match. What I'm saying is, there isn't any inherently profitable strategy here, maybe if you really understood through stats that the strategy is likely to return a profit long-term if you do this so many times or certain criteria are met or you're keeping an eye on the scores and you know exactly when to stop doing it, it could be a profitable strategy but just giving this as a strategy to implement to someone not employing way more complicated qualification criteria is likely going to end in disaster. It's like saying providing you lay several horses under even money in a race you'll make money, well yeah, obviously, but actually getting to do that is a lot more tricky.

I have to paraphrase, it's impossible to cover all angles in ten minutes, but my objective is to limit losses but create plenty of opportunities to exceed my maximum loss. That's what I'm trying to do.
