Thanks for posting this video. The first time I changed the cabin filter in my wife’s Versa, it took a couple of hours. I’ve done it a few times since then, but using this video helped me finish in less than 15 minutes. Apparently it helps to have someone suffer along with you.

Thank you for showing how to change this filter! I just bought a Versa manual 6 speed and it was one owner and it was used on a farm so it’s a bit rank inside and the air sounds like a jet taking off when it’s turned on so I’m about to do an interior clean up/overhaul on it. Your video IS the ONLY one I’ve found that shows step by step and I definitely appreciate it! Take care.

I just pulled ours out. The last owner butchered the installation as they did not know how to install the curtain part of it ( lose part at the top) and the filter that was there was completely lose. I would recommend to use a vacuum cleaner with a thing attachment to clean the compartment the best you can. We pulled leaves and other stuff from the hole which we cleaned up before we installed the new filter. Love the video.

I don't own that vehicle but it does raise some questions about replacing or adding a filter on my truck. I'll have to check my truck but this video really does help, thanks for sharing and turning on the light.

To remove the filter, first pull out the TOP slightly (to the right). Then you will be able to lift up the filter frame enough to easily release the tab at the bottom. Reverse to install new filter- tilt top to the right, slide tab down into place, then push top in (left) until it is flush.

2014 CRV is a breeze. Am trying to do my friends Versa. So far I have broken off the tab and had to give up due to bad light . Back at it tomorrow armed with this more detailed knowledge. Thanks

What is that cable that was connected to the glove box? I just changed my filter today on my 2011 Versa and I don't think mine had that. Btw, I've had my Versa for 3 years and put a ton of miles on it and this was my first time replacing the cabin air filter. (I never even heard of one before 3 weeks ago when the guy at AutoZone asked me if I needed one) I don't know if the previous owner ever changed it, but when I took the old one out it was completely black. Not a speck of white anywhere. Lol. I noticed an immediate difference in the air quality, as well as the A/C performance. The air was colder and it cooled down so much faster. It used to take 15-20 minutes of driving before the air got as cold as it was going to get. Now it's a lot faster. The air also blows harder. I can actually feel it when I aim the vents at myself. So for 3 years I thought my A/C sucked a big fat horse's butt when all I had to do was replace a filter I never heard of. 😂😂😂

Great to hear that you got it changed out and the AC is blowing cold a lot faster. I think the cable your referring to is the one that keeps the glove box from dropping all the way down when you open it?

Ozone machine with timer...since you can't breathe it may help get smoke out of the car. Nicotine is awesome, but cigarettes may have 600 poisons now. Dryer sheets fumes and other air fresheners may also hurt.

Rent an ozone machine. Dealers use them all the time to take out smoke, and odors. It actually gets to the root of the issue on a molecular level.

Did mine but now my glove box light don’t work I never saw the switch that turns it on and off when I removed it I just unplugged the bulb and plugged it back in but it does not work now
