I'll be getting the EDP for Christmas next week and honestly this maybe the best fragrance I have tried, I tried a sample and I loved it, first time I tried it it was a smell just so luxury but calm and soft too, I picture myself walking through the night with a really nice black suit on and wearing this, I was honestly blown away when trying this. I can't wait to have it, I really like others like Versace Eros, allure homme sport extreme, acqua Di Gio EDP and Profumo and Dior Homme intense. but Bleu de Chanel is just in another world.

I agree. The Parfum is always a great casual, yet classy choice. Also, the point you brought up about the amount of men who don't wear a fragrance far outnumber those who wear an "overplayed" perfume. You're average person will simply think you smell good wearing a blue fragrance

For me bdc only works on the edt concentration. The other 2 last on my skin less than 5 hours. The edt in can smell it the next day close to the skin. I have a 2012 edt bottle and a 2020 edt bottle. Both smell almost the same and last the same on me. The 2012 bottle projects a little bit more than the 2020.

@@jameswilliams3573 It really depends how you’re planning to use it. I’d say, if you’re looking for a special occasion fragrance you should go with parfum as it’s more classy. However if you’re looking for one to wear pretty much anywhere you go then EDP is your choice. Both of them smell amazing so you can’t go wrong.

I was at the store yesterday in order to try a few fragrances as I'm trying to pick out one or two to buy as, but I couldn't feel much of the smell, I wasn't wowed as I expected to be or as Monika said (even by the parfum, which has the higher concentration). It seems that the only one that was truly tangible and the one that stuck in my head was Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme (but oh boy, how expensive that one is as well). I'll surely give it another try, but I don't know if I should try to find a few tiny samples to try instead of relying on paper testers.

If someone just wanted to have a very small collection of just a couple of fragrances, I honestly believe if they were to choose one of the Bleu de Chanel line and one of the Dior Homme line they would be completely covered for any weather, any occasion, any situation. For example BdC EDP and Dior Homme Original or Intense. They are so versatile, while still being interesting, and there is literally no situation where these would not work.

Damn you, monika, I watched your vid and got BDC EDP, and wow, it blew me the heck away. Incredible art. Masterpiece. I then saw a 150ml bottle of parfum for 130 and had to pick that up too, and christ is it good. The wafts i get from that one are INSANE, it's like closeup the parfum doesn't really materialize, but the wafts further away are blended into pure art. Incredible fragrances.

I feel like Bleu de Chanel will still be worth it and relevant 10+ years from now. My favorite by far is the EDP, which is my Swiss Army knife fragrance. In my opinion it already has a timeless quality and based on its success I can understand why Chanel hasn’t launched a new men’s fragrance line, with BDC still popular as ever there’s simply no need.

The perfect scent for me..I just love it. My bottle of the EDT is just about done. I'm going to roll with the EDP the next time. The performance of the EDT is pretty poor. I don't see myself going with the parfum. I can't bring myself to part with that grapefruit note, plus I live where it gets pretty hot. I will never not own a bottle of Bleu De Chanel.

I blind bought BDC EDP and even though it smells pleasant, it's a little boring on me (smells like floral pencil shavings to me), it's too cloying on me and it's hard to wear here in Texas where it's always really hot year-round. I do like the Parfum version better because I can wear it in the Fall/Winter and it doesn't come off too strong. Maybe i'll get the Parfum after i use the EDP up

BDC is not for hot weather. It's too sweet for warmer days. It's a Fall/Winter scent. Use Eau Extreme. Works way better.

I would say based on the smell, Bleu de Chanel is my favorite blue fragrance. I only own the EDT, which is the most grapefruit forward, citrusy of them all. Unfortunately the EDTs performance is pretty poor for me, about 4-5 hours tops.

Opposite for me usually parfums sit closer to the skin. The EDP projects better but doesn’t last as long. But for me the parfum doesn’t last as long as EDP in the blue de Chanel line.

a lot of people jump right into the edt or edp just because of The PARFUM’s price, thats understandable, but i insist, you are better off saving some more money and buy the parfum because it is not only the best smelling, the better performing, it is unique enough to smell different than the other 2 and thats adds much more value to it, at any aspect the parfum is way better than the other 2 concentrations, a macys worker once told me that when someone try the 3 concentrations at the store 9 out of 10 times that person chooses the parfum smell over the edt and edp but most of them refuse to buy it because of the high price so they just go for the edp which is not cheap but cheaper than the parfum..

Depends on the skin. The EDP lasts 12 hours on my skin. And on some people it doesn't even reach 6 hours. The trick is to get a sample of both. Spray and see which one lasts on your skin and buy it.

I would rather get EdT. EdP and Parfum are very similiar. I found Parfum to be better in every way. Smells slightly better, lasts longer. EdT is different enough to not be redundant. Lasts long enough too.

Pulse points also use lotion after your morning shower. So like both sides of your neck and left and right sides of your neck. Use that with every fragrance, same spot everytime. You can go more sprays, 4 is solid with higher performing frags
