This has been a huge year for My Chem. They released their first song in 8 years, The Foundations of Decay, and are currently on their first global tour in a decade. My Chem defines a generation. I was really freaking depressed a couple days ago and remembered I had this video in my phone. It was something I screen recorded. It was Gerard walking around stage saying “YOU HAVE POTENTIAL TO BE THE MOTHER FREAKING GREATEST!!” I felt better almost instantly just remembering he said that.

mcr has relly helped me through my emo era! in a good way ofc. their music has been there for me when no one was. i really love the alt style and feelings of their music. when their first album came out, gonna be honest, i wasnt even born 🥲 but in my early 12s omg I found out about them and i'm still lovin it!

It was always weird being a huge MCR fan and everyone thought it was "cool" to hate them around black parade's release because they were just "emo" to everyone. Even had the Nintendo website I wrote for around 2008 make up an april fools joke that MCR was getting their own Rockband game (like Greenday and Beatles had).

I got my tickets like 4 days ago. I cannot wait to see them live. I really agree with this video, and am getting annoyed at my friends who say mcr isnt a popular band, when they have just about sold out tickets across the globe, and have an awesomely large fan base. It isn't a small unknown band. It's My Chemical Romance. If you haven't heard of it I wouldn't trust your music taste with a piece of garbage.
