Somebody sat on that. Happened to my friends car and he got a cheap E-bay deck lid, wrapped the whole car, then some...umm...heavy girls,sat on the hood for some selfies and cracked that literally in half. The wrap kept the pieces together.

Hey guys, sorry about the car . I may have a solution. I work at Lowe's part time as a merchandise team member. We use Johnson wax a lot. Johnson wax is inexpensive and safe. Apply over adhesive, Let sit for 15-20 minutes, try and see if it wipes off.

I have a glossy finished carbon fiber engine lid, no glass, no vents so you would have to move it over from your damaged lid. Even has wing holes already cutout (super styled) let me know if you would want it or not

Glad to see you Faith and Clayton question if your new space is large enough you might want to install a booth with heat lamps like they use to cure paint would make it easier to unwrap vehicles rather than the heat guns. PS I’ve had good luck with 3M adhesión remover getting the promoter off.

I think you should try compound with DA polisher to remove the residue as i also previously has a nasty adhesive like that and use that techniques to remove the residue

try using pro sol for the adhesive!! I work at Larry miller Dodge Ram in sandy and u guys can swing by and ill give u a bottle!!

Try Rapid Remover for the adhesive remover. Worked great when I removed my roof wrap

I work at a dealership body shop and someone traded in a ram pickup that was a couple years old that was wrapped. The dealership paid us (the body shop) to take the wrapped off, so we started and underneath was poorly fixed hail dents that were not painted or even primed, just bare bondo everywhere

I would say maybe wet sanding/buffing could help with the adhesive promotor but it’s all on the edges which makes that pretty tricky. Bummer.

rapid remover works well for the adhesive promoter, but if you don't do it the way the instructions say to do it won't do much. or 3m adhesive remover is great as well. plastic scrapers are life savers 👍🏼

When I unwrapped my van I did it out in full summer sun. It peeled nicely, You could really feel the difference if a cloud was overhead. Got a good tan!

Try new transmission oil to remove the adhesive it has a bunch of detergents in it and as long as you wash it off will not hurt the paint.

Mia’s gallardo had two layers of ppf and a wrap. They knew previous owner so pretty sure they were aware how meticulous he was. So “safe” buy. But yea I wouldn’t buy a wrapped car from some random dealer or person.

You guys should get the Loc 5 exhaust for the G. That exhaust with the 5.0 makes the engine scream and it gives it that high pitch F1 sound. If you want a little more match it with Larini or Fabspeed sport cats. If you want the Mose, do a Larini or Fabspeed cat delete with the Loc 5..... I’ve don’t it on my Superleggera and it sounds amazing! Just my two cents....

Sal is an amazing dog! I send virtual chin scratches. You mentioned denatured alcohol would take off the adhesive, but when you began to work on removing the adhesive, denatured alcohol wasn't in the list of things you tried.

It'd be really interesting to see you compared different methods of wrapping/unwrapping cars. Obviously this would be a long term project to create as it's not particularly appropriate to do many different techniques & methods on a single project. I'm suggesting this having watched another KZbinr struggle with removal of a wrap that just kept ripping & tearing using a hot-air gun and then get the suggestion to pour really hot (but not boiling!) water orn the vinyl before pulling it off - and ith worked REALLY well in comparison to the heat gun!!

If that’s factory paint you could try lacquer thinner to remove the adhesive promoter. If it’s not factory paint it probably won’t hold up with the thinner even if it is factory paint don’t let it sit on it just wipe it down and wash it.
