That's the 250 B class, not limited so it's not stock. It still doesn't look shockingly fast either, ponies.. More like unicorns or sumpin'

So I'm from the 2 stroke days....its interesting to me so many guys are riding 250s in the 450 class now. And seem to be putting down faster laps...is this due to the lighter weight of the bike or the overrev/power delivery?
@EarthSurferUSA5 жыл бұрын
Same with the pros. Often the 250 class is faster. I have been watching the live lap times on the net.

I am surprised, with his reflexes, he did not just "blip" over the bike in his first crash. I wish a pro racer can pass this much, (like RC did), but the tracks are too easy for the pros, and everybody is the same average speed.

The only thing I would have done differently is just run over that guys bike. Everything else, I get schooled like everybody else on the track. :) That was my racing career. I had a flash of brilliance about 1% of the time on the track, so I became a machinist/engineer and now build fast little 2-stroke engines for a living. Thank God for MX and our free market, (what is left of it). :)
@stephanoteani6214 жыл бұрын
My dude put some Sexton fuel in that bike
@EarthSurferUSA5 жыл бұрын
I think you will find that after you turn pro, the tracks will not be much more challenging than this, and everybody will have them wired. That will make it very hard to win a few races in a row to gain the confidence you have now. I suggest you skip the SX series, (where the tracks make everybody about the same speed, and even corner speed does not matter much, making us slower), and just race the outdoor tracks as they still separate the talent better than cookie cutter SX track. If you are good on hard pack, I bet you would beat a lot of top pros on a track like that, because the FIM has forced our track owners to add a lot of sand. You will find, it is the FIM who makes USA racers slower. As a MX fan/racer/rider since 76, I see it in the evolution. The more the FIM has control in the USA, the slower we get as professionals. We don't see greatness like you did here. We only see a fast average. We will see the difference at the 2019 MXofN,--and the FIM will cheer when we lose. (I am hoping this will be a underdog motivational year though). You got some speed kid. I want to see another American hero. It has been a while. You can beat the FIM!
