I refilled from the gallon jug of cleaner. I added a squirt of dawn. Worked great, but refilled jug emptied even faster that original.

I agree that the 30-Seconds Outdoor Cleaner works pretty well, but there are some reasons to consider mixing your own solution. The main reason I mix my own solution (and the reason why most people do it) is to save money on the solution. My best cost for 30-Second Cleaner is about $12/gallon, which is a 5% Sodium Hypochlorite (SH) solution. I can buy the 10% SH from the pool store for $5/gallon, or when diluted 50/50 with water, it is $2.50/gallon. Diluting it 50/50 with water changes the 10% SH to 5% SH, which is the same SH concentration as what the 30-Seconds Cleaner has. Now you do want to add a surfactant also, which helps the solution stick to the siding. I use a couple drops of bleach-safe Dawn dish washing liquid as a surfactant, but you can purchase surfactant from stores like Tractor Supply or Southern States. This solution works as well as the 30-Seconds Cleaner. From experience you will find that one 64-oz bottle of 30-Seconds will go really fast and only do one side of the house, so expect to use several bottles depending on how much cleaning you have to do. I have refilled the 30-Second Cleaner hose sprayer bottle with my own solution, because the bottle does work well with a hose, but depending on your hose water pressure, you may find that the 30-Seconds Cleaner has difficulty reaching high 2nd-story siding. If you can't reach those high spots with the 30-Second Cleaner sprayer then I recommend using a power washer with a downstream injector and long reaching nozzle. In that setup, which is known as "soft washing," the downstream injector sucks the SH solution from a bucket and the long reaching nozzle can shoot the solution very high. If you mix your own solution, follow the same warnings on the 30-Seconds Cleaner bottle, pre and post-treating plants, wearing PPE, always post rinse, etc. Whether you use 30-Seconds Cleaner or mix your own, there are going to be times where you need to go back and do a second application for spots that you missed. There are also going to be things that SH solutions like 30-Seconds Cleaner can't remove like tiger striping (on gutters), rust stains, oil/grease, paint/graffiti, and oxidation. Luckily, there are other cleaners that can handle most of those issues though.

10% 1 gallon is 5.97 / gallon in Tennessee haven't found a reasonable pool supply store here yet . Whenever I get more business I'll just order it bulk I'm thinking!

The 30 second cleaner bottle label says 8% NaCl 6% proprietary ingredients (detergent) 86% inert ingredients (water) So it is easy enough to mix a batch yourself
