1. Avoid buying Real Estate in tourist places, these are just fancy looking products which can be avoided altogether 2. The Goa tourism story is on the decline because the Goan taste, culture, vibes have been taken up by people from other parts of the country 3. Rather than Airbnb, people opt for a good hotel/resort because there you can get a complete ecosystem for all the family members 4. As a solution, buy good and safe properties in top 7-8 cities of India, where demand and economic activity is evergreen. Use that rental money to stay in 5-star resorts of different tourist places of the WORLD

Absolutely true. Lot of issues and not enough profit renting out our place there.. some of the Issues - 1. Heavy non stop rains for 4 months so more wear n tear of house\ shockingly more maintenance than a city 2. Labour cost high in Goa even if you find skilled labour 3. Occupancy almost zero to very less for short term rentals in Summer\Rains 4. House in Goa is difficult to oversee if you live in another city. 5. Giving place on rent only to families further reduces occupancy (other than groups of guys - bad experiences ) 6. Lot of grief and complaints from neighbours which always robbed "sukoon" Its very appealing in theory to rent a place there but never again would I go for it. and I am originally from Goa and have relatives who took care of issues there otherwise would have been a terrible experience

Goa story is not good now.. i have travelled it 8 times and i travelled this year after a gap of 6 yrs.. its not good as compared to earlier..vibe is missing

About the air- bnb, once the prices of airbnb matches the prices of hotels, air bnb will automatically died. As the hotels provide hospitality, security and much more services which air bnb owners can't.
