I remember when i was 26 just got the 2004 yamaha R1(raven black) and was riding at around 290 km/h here in southafrica on the N3 highway near durban and got whacked on my helmet by a bird!,nearly lost control but saved it.Still have the bike till today.The best model year ever made in my opinion,just brutal raw power with no fancy electronics and traction control like the later models.I still ride it not as often like when i was younger and not as fast anymore as the roads are not as smooth as they used to be,but love it.Thats a nice bike you have there as well mate,ride safe,R1 for life ✌
