I’m from New York and moved to Atlanta and absolutely despised it. The 3 main factors of why I detested Atlanta was definitely the traffic, bugs and the fake southern culture. I’m from New York and relocated to Los Angeles county 3 days ago and couldn’t be anymore relieved. Los Angeles is notorious for traffic but the comparison between Los Angeles and atlanta is the sheer danger of Atlanta drivers is astronomical. Multiple car pileups on the 285 on a daily basis. I driven in both traffic in New York and Los Angeles and have never had debilitating anxiety driving like I did in Atlanta. The bugs, the bugs, the bugs. They’re enormous and they’re everywhere. Cockroaches, you can’t avoid them. It’s disgusting. There’s way too many trees in Atlanta to try and control the pests. And the fake southern hospitality made my blood boil. There’s no such thing. The people are very sensitive and passive aggressive. They will mask a criticism in the form of a back handed compliment. And when you’re straight forward, you’re the bad guy. I was in Atlanta for just under two years and it was a horrible place to live.

Thank u for this video. I was offered to live in ATL by my partner and was curious of what its like. Particularly because I am on the autism spectrum, I wanted to know the details of life in Georgia. I'm prone to meltdowns and deteriorating health that can be caused by prolonged stressful driving (messy, loud drivers and confusing infrastructure), loud noises, giant groups of people, etc. Thanks to ur video, Im now sure I wouldnt be able to live there 😅 perhaps just for a visit. Appreciate u!

Hey Marc! Another awesome video, as always!! As an Atlanta native who's lived up north for the past 10 years, I have to say you are CORRECT!! Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE my hometown and I'm looking forward to my daughter and I moving back within the next few years, but I sure do have a lot to brace myself for. Sooo much has changed... Whew!!

You question the variety of cuisine and then state that your favorites are along Buford Highway ? Did you ever once try places in SE Atlanta or even downtown for the Greek, Jamaican, Southern Soul, Italian, Indian, Middle Eastern, Cuban, BBQ or Asian places ?

Am I the only one who has noticed how the traffic has significantly gotten better due to ramifications from the pandemic? 🤔

Was all around metro ATL for 4 long years it was terrible left in July 2022 it was horrible very bad political vibe murders up to 60 % entitlement avoided being shot by not engaging in the terrible reverse racism and horrible drivers and the worst drivers and traffic ever! AND I am originally from SCA!

I'm 67, in TX, can retirees do okay here or in the suburbs?
@mmegdaniel Жыл бұрын
Some neighborhoods in the city like Virginia highlands or Ansley park could be good for retirees, but I would recommend suburbs like Marietta or Gwinnett

At one time i agreed with you about the guns but id rather have one than not if it comes down to it. If they took away the guns like their wanting to, all that would happen is families who abide by the laws will get killed by these home invaders instead of killing the suspect. These people think that all these gang members and thugs are just gonna hand it over. It will get worse if they did it.
