I don't think the payment should be the main issue. What is the cost of living in Russia? How much did you spend on your education? Using the US as the standard doesn't make sense. Please be specific. Some parts of the US are very cold too, and the healthcare system, I assume, is solely profit-driven . Yes, it's good in the US and other Western countries, but what is the cost of tuition?
@jeffbguarino5 ай бұрын
Don't go to the US, go to Canada or Europe. Canada has reasonable prices for education. The US is so skewed , it is just stupid. You as a student can only learn so much in 24 hours , so paying 10 times the money will not give you 10 times the education. The US has the student loan system and the students get lots of money and this has been going on for 40 years. The schools just keep raising the prices because the students have money and the whole system is out of whack. The schools are all gouging the students. Canada has public health care and even if you pay for it, it won't break your bank. The Canadian degrees are recognized also whereas the Russian degrees may not be.

Solid information. It’s amazing to see how true insiders talk about Russia; your perspectives. One would fully agree with your points, and so do we. Did you say you’re from Makurdi? If that’s in Benue state, then that’s where our Co-Founder, Mike, is from. We should get in touch 😊

Minus 10 is not cold. Come to Canada and see what -30 or -35 is like. Then you will say -10 C is warm. Every spring time in Winnipeg when the weather heats up to -10 we are happy that is is warm outside. Also all people are the same and after you adjust to the temperatures you will be the same as a Canadian or Russian. I went to Guyana south American and it goes up to +35 everyday (also in Canada we get +35) but the humidity is 100%. I was extremely hot all the time and at night the temperature is +28. In the pictures of me and my wife's family, my hair is wet with sweat and you can see it in the pictures but everyone else looks normal. He cousin drove us around and would not put the A/C on because the cold air bothered him. It was over 30 C and I was steaming and so was my brother in law from Canada. We even offered to pay him to turn on the A/C and he turned it on for 5 minutes and when we stopped looking at him he shut it off. It takes a few months to adjust to a hot country and then you think it is more normal. Your blood flow changes and your skin is hotter , radiating more heat.

Maybe from English to Russian is steep learning process; my country which is not an English speaking nation, and was always a Soviet friendly country and a phonetic language they all had to learn...and in less than one year they started university; and common sense opinion was that Russian was an easy language to learn. I also am of the impression that Russian is easy...but i have the advantage to teach myself English and French, and speak fluent Spanish. From any phonetic language Russian becomes relatively easy i know that for a fact... because the letter and the sound of the letter are the same what completely different from English and thus the language barrier. If possible try and go the extra mile.

I personally do NOT like that your primary goal for studying medicine is about money. Nowadays, with the internet, you can make far more money in way less time online than going to medical school. Being a doctor, like a teacher, should be considered a noble position one holds in high regards. I think you should reconsider this path if your goal is mainly about making money. You can make a lot more via drop shipping, FBA and other online ventures. Even if you go to the US for medicine, you will find a whole new set of very strong social issues to battle there that you didn't face in Russia nor in your own country, but if all you mainly care about is money- the money is there for you. The choice is yours. Good luck.

@@tmc1373 very few doctors want to be doctors only because of money, I am not among them, but every human being I know would want to afford a good living for himself, that’s my belief and I stand by it, I will work where I am well compensated, with the extra money I make, I will make an impact around the world. If I am worrying about the patient’s life and about my house rent, I will make a terrible doctor. Anyway, freedom of opinion.

100% agree with you.
@AlexanderTch11 ай бұрын

Even Russians don't want to practice medicine here so I know what you're talking about X"D Funny thing about weather: highest salaries in Russia are actually in the Northern East where the weather is most extreme (getting to -60° and below) but at the same time prices are higher there too :'D
