Why you SHOULD NOT STAY at the WYNDHAM GRAND CANCUN

Spent a week there in 2023 and it was great. I didn’t experience anything negative you mentioned so I wonder what that’s about. Better luck next time. Food was great with a bunch of variety, great staff, great activities during the day/night, room was clean and well maintained (king room, not villa). My family has gone back a couple more times since then

I just came back from this resort and I have to say I had the opposite experience. My ocean view room in the main building was very modern. All the food I tried at the resort was pretty damn good I must say. There was no shortage of variety for my family and I.

I just watched your review on the Grand Wyndham Cancun, and I wanted to share a quick thought. While I appreciate your detailed breakdown of the experience, I couldn’t help but feel that some of the issues raised, like towel service delays, empty mini-bars, and bartenders not knowing how to make certain drinks, are relatively minor in the grand scheme of things-especially considering the beautiful beach and decent service you mentioned. Of course, every traveler has different expectations, but I’ve found that at many resorts, especially in tropical destinations like Cancun, the natural beauty and relaxation often outweigh those smaller inconveniences. Minor maintenance issues or buffet food not living up to gourmet standards seem pretty trivial when you’re surrounded by the ocean and enjoying quality time with family. Just offering a bit of perspective here! Keep up the great content, and I look forward to more reviews!

then i’d make good food and spend time with my family at a beach air bnb. the beach is free you aren’t paying for the time with family that should also be free. they are lacking on thing you’re paying for. that’s the perspective.

We always stay at the RIU Palace in Rivera Mya. It’s absolutely top notch. The views the service just all of it. Thanks for the review and I hope you enjoyed the majority of your vacation.

I’ve gone there 5 times all the times with someone who was a time share there and can say I’ve never had any of the problems like you have had but you do get treated way better if you have a time share or are with someone who has one

Planning to go to the resort in March, but I’m having to catch a ride to the airport by myself wondering if safety was ever a worry for people getting to the airport. I’m sure they have services but definitely don’t want to have a ride by myself as a young female, I don’t know if that would be the safest idea especially in a foreign country. Let me know if y’all had any safety concerns.

The Cancun airport is always a little crazy. You’re almost mobbed by people wanting to sell you Tours and transportation. We always pre arrange with reputable companies like Best Day Travel and walk right past them

That was a trash compactor. The full fridge was empty. There was no mini fridge in there.

It's a shame that they don't have enough people to work better and keep the resort in tip top condition. Maybe it's because many have crossed the border and are working for the almighty dollar instead of the meager wages they get there. Anyway thank you for the heads up on the bad experience. Will definitely avoid it if I would ever decide to go to Cancun. Take care and stay safe

The beach and the place is amazing, shame the facilities were lacking many things, food not so good etc, but what i really want to know is how can you serve drinks and not know how to make them?? But anyways, lesson learned for next time Mr X

The hotel is cheap so you should not expect high gastronomy. There are more expensive hotels in Cancun where they are sure to meet your expectations. You can't afford so much luxury while paying so little.

I'm leaving a wyndham grand Cancun and you're absolutely right about what you say about this Resort, it's very miserable its service and cheap and limited gastronomy. Do not come to this hotel, they will give you very little for your money

@@TheXtremeChannelMrX cmon man. You referenced a sales office as a members only restaurant. You clearly didn't take any time to learn anything. And I'd love to know where else you have stayed in Cancun. Cause i have stayed at Fiesta Americana which was ranked 7th in all of Cancun at the time and the food there was not good either. Now i have my goto's like the sushi bar and the lunch at Pina's and Dinner in Italy. You also liked the Brazilian and that's a place I go once a trip to change it up one night. You want to check out a 5 star hotel go to Royalton Chic and pay an extra $1000 per person. You make the place sound like a dump. Its far from that. Yes it was better under Omni and no I am not and will not and would never be a member there. Took the tour it's not worth it. If you actually had any facts I would take you seriously but you come off as a douche.

Interesting review. Looks like a school excursion place. The beach looked a bit sub-par, Australia has beautiful beaches(Google Surfers Paradise beaches for example).
