Definitely Rumbleslam (you mention it below I see, but a +1 from me)! Looks like a great value for money, fun game (also very interested in 3+ players for this game). 'Demon Ship' from Black Site Studios looks promising (solo micro game). However, whatever game you cover I will be watching!

Just to add to the tide of praise - Aristeia is just about one of the tightest games out there. Played with a bunch of wargame/board game friends, and all adored it. Working on a compact version to take abroad with the wife for holidays :D

@@nakorprieto didn't get it finished in time - but the premise was using the neoprene mats, and just either hole punching (a 25mm/32mm hole punch) the Spanish/German/French spare cards of the characters and gluing the image to bases. That way you end up with a mtg box of bases and dice, an mtg box of cards, and a roll out matt, for a very small travel footprint.

Arusteia! is a lot of fun. I feel like they had a rough launch with it coming out within a month or two of GWs Underworld (their hex based game for those not in the know). I played both from day one and honestly A! won me over from maybe my second or third game. I love that Underworld allows me to paint up small numbers of all kinds of GW factions without having to do an entire army but the gameplay just doesn't do it for me like A! does. Unfortunately GW being the biggest in the industry I think the two launching at the same time hurt the start of A! a lot. At least, that's what I observed locally.

I'll be honest, I mostly thought of your channel as a Mailfaux channel, for lack of a better title. I'd love to see some games on your channel at some point. I've kind of erred over Aristeia as a game I could play casually with non-gamey people but I'd like to see it played to get a better fell for complexity.

Hi, we use really useful boxes with ferro sheets on the bottom and magnets on the minis bases.

In my experience playing this game (which I own), characters just tend to sit on objectives and slug it out with the opposition. When a character finally dies, no big deal, they just respawn and re-enter the fight. It's very... dull.

The game is quite dynamic. Apart from King of the Hill and Hunter & Prey your characters rarely 'sit' on objectives. The game instead requires a lot of movement and positioning apart from fragging enemies.

I've had the exact opposite impression from playing. You spend so much time chasing objectives and trying to outthink your opponent so you've got the bodies on point to score. At first I was a little annoyed with the lack of stand up brawling but I quickly became a fan of the game.
