It's officially Wally as he was created Wally in the UK by British author Martin Handford. He's Wally in most of the English speaking Western World but for some reason was renamed Waldo in the US. It's not the only place where he was given an alternate name though - In Germany, he's Walter ("Wo ist Walter?") and in Norway, he's Willy. In France, he became Charlie, in Denmark, Holger and in Israel, Effi.

Wally must be an Australian version. Lee, you’re right- it’s Where’s Waldo!
@lyndalm5 жыл бұрын
The original book is British and the title is 'Where's Wally?', which is the version that was released in Australia. International editions were then released using localised names, with the North American version released as 'Waldo'. Examples of other localised names are: 'Walter' for the German version, 'Charlie' for the French version, and 'Holger' for the Danish version. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Where's_Wally

WOW!This video touched me in so many ways! Of course it was amazing & beautiful as usual, but your mom added a different perspective to the video for me as an older woman with chronic illness/disabilities. I was so proud of your mom for accomplishing this hike & being able to cross off a bucket list item. When she said her age, it just made me cry. I'm so happy for her! I used to LOVE to hike. I was very active up to becoming so ill in 2012 & now I can't even go shopping with my friends w/o having to bring my wheelchair. I miss my old life! This disease & the many conditions have taken so much from me. I don't talk about this side of chronic illness very much because I prefer to stay positive & try to be a light & an example for others struggling as well....but I couldn't move on to the next video w/o commenting what was in my heart. Thank you for sharing your mom with us, she is an amazing woman! Her good bye was very touching. Of course I cried again! Lol Its always hard for me to leave when I'm visiting my children. Oh & its 'Wheres Waldo' in the US as well. Lol Much love! 💗

Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I backpacked through Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil in my late 20's, visited Machu Picchu but didn't know there was hiking trails like this, so I so much envy your ability to make that kind of hike. There might arguably be more beautiful places in the world but the Peruvian Andes are so spectacular that you're just continuously in a state of being awestruck (and I'm the same age as your mother so tremendous kudos to her for making the journey!....and even arriving in Cuzco, had altitude sickness for a few days so her perseverance is even more commendable!) Thank you again for the stunning scenery; it brings back such fond memories :)

Loved loved loved seeing you have your Mom, Max and of course Lees Mom too-:). It is a blessing as a Mom for their kids to honor them in this way by including them in some of the journey(s). It's hard enough when the child rearing years are over and the children think or assume that the parents would not like to be included in some of the adventurous activities or just to have some time to socialize/fellowship together as adult children to parents-:). The journeys in life go way to fast, I pray that we can ALL be better at utilizing the time we have❤️... Family/Friends/Community❤️🙏🏽 I believe it is a good incentive for ALL MUMS AND DADS to stay in the best shape they can so this could be possible-:). Parents and children do not have to go their own separate ways ALL the time...Having experiences as adult children to their parents is healthy and should be promoted more. Thank you Max and Lee for showing this on your channel❤️. Bravo Zulú to Jane, you did amazing and set a bar for all maturing parents that their is much to do and see and is possible if you do your part in taking care of yourself😃👍🏽. I had seen thus hike done in another u-tube channel and is definitely one on my bucket list-:). Max, Lee and Mom can you discuss items to have on you whether in your backpack or carrying on you. We did the Inca Trail Hike over 10 years ago and it is still the hardest but most memorable hike I have been on along with Peru still being my favorite country of all trips. We had a group of 10 people which also made it memorable with good friendships made. Still amazed at how they were able to make such delicious meals along the hike. The Salcantay trail definitely seems more scenic than what I remember the Inca Trail being and also with more established structures and villages. Can’t wait to see more travel videos. I wished i did my Salkantay Trek with you ( Sept.9-13,2019) Did it thru a local tour group in Cusco with a bunch of 3 European couples.I am a very fit 64 yr old Aussie, but had trouble with altitude and hypothermia on day1 in freezing conditions. I did the trek pretty much on my own esp. on day 3 when the guide didnt even check up on me. Like you, I found climbing down on day 2 was tough under difficult conditions of rough terrain, mud,and rain. Knee played up and blisters on both feet. A very tough trek indeed! We had some amazing crew who cooked some beautiful food that we didnt go hungry. The hotel was just so good after a 10 km walk to Aqua Calientes with hot water and bed to finally sleep after 4 days of hiking and camping. We were rewarded with the beautiful sight of Machu Picchu. Its so cool that you can trek with your super doggie. Well done!

What a beautiful video: there are many out there but yours was special due to you two, having your mom and pup with you. You are all such nice people! Best of luck!

Wow! Just wow! Amazing scenery and amazing journey! It has been a dream of mine of getting to Machu Pichu and you've shown me a better way of experiencing this, by taking your time and building the whole journey to the point that reaching your goal is more meaningful and longer lasting for your soul and mind...
