@@AkselOrstavik The water is 2-5 degrees and visibility is great on calm days. But there are no cod, lyr, or monkfish or wolf fish in the Øresund... So we have to dive for plaice and sea trout day and night :) then it's perfect that you can go on adventures in Norway, and we can watch along!

Yep! That’s Hitra outside of Trondheim in Norway. The visibility in summer isn’t anywhere near what it’s during winter, but in September/October it tends to be roughly 15 meter visibility, and lots of good fish! My video from the Nordic championship illustrates it quite well. In a couple of days there will be a video showing more of what the summer diving in Norway can be like:)

Gorgeous diving conditions. We recently had storms pass through our state last week - the coastline here is currently dirty with rain water run-off -- it might be another month before water clears up.

That sucks, you don't have any spots offshore, or are they dirty because of the storms? Quite lucky here, as Hitra is a huge island where there's practically always some sheltered areas.

@@AkselOrstavik We have plenty of locations for offshore diving, its just that the vast amount of rain that we received is still coming down from land, into the bays, rivers, and shoreline.

Thanks! Yeah I mostly use that, but the clips from Stavanger is with thr 3D-printed tray. Just got sent a proper video tray along with a beast of a video light, so hope to put that to good use soon!

In Hitra I’d recommend 6-7mm suit. The temp is around 14 degrees during summer:) from Bergen and further south, 5mm is enough if you’re not a very cold person

Hi, nice winter fishing. Insane viz!! What brand, type of gloves, and socks do you use to stay warm enough? I've tried a few brands and the most I can last is a few hours at 8°c.

I use 5mm 5-finger gloves from Frivannsliv, but it gets cold after about 2,5 hours in 6°C. But all year except for the coldest months my hands are comfy as long as I'm in the water:) Gonna try their 3-finger gloves next week for some wreck diving!

Are wetsuits a bit too cold when it's not summer in Norway, or can it still function well at times?

Open cell wetsuits works like a charm! However, the ones made for surfing etc would be very cold. On this dive most of us used 7mm wetsuits made for Norwegian waters, with a 3mm singlet underneath.

Of course! It’s the ‘bootlace worm’ (Lineus longissimus), and it can grow up to 50 meter in length:)

what do you use to secure the knife?

I use the sheath that came with the knife when I bought it, along with a velcro strap. Ideally I should also get some sort of bungee connecting the knife to the sheath when I´m bleeding fish etc in case I drop it, but haven´t gotten around to fix that yet
