Thanks for watching guys. Here's another idea I forgot to mention: If you get rid of your tinny on a trailer it then frees you up to tow other toys or a camper trailer instead 👍

I have the same boat and love it. I use a Milwaukee 18v compact blower to inflate 90% of the way and then the hand pump to finish it off. Takes 6mins👍

I do the same, and then I point that same Milwaukee 18v compact blower around to drive the boat. Saves having to buy a separate motor.

Good one Chris, for a couple traveling it's ideal, glad you stayed with the 20hp outboard motor, for 2 people I think is awesome plus the price is reasonable.

Can't believe it's been a year since you got the boat. Always love your boat missions and the Cockermouth Island one was my fav. Totally agree on the towing part, the trailer just becomes a sand anchor. I was confused between this and the Highfield, however the Discovery is a cat and a much better product. I was concerned as Valmex is still a PVC and how it would hold up compared to Hypalon, but I think it's just as good. Thanks for the long term review mate, not a lot of them out there. Just a tip mate, please add long term review and valmex to your description or tags and a lot more of the boating community will find this, cheers 🤙

Hi great boat! Like you mentioned never buy a car that has had a roof top tinnie loader no matter how much you try to wash it clean the boat will bleed salt on the car roof getting into the seams and down the line you get a huge repair bill ! In your videos you have proved how offshore capable this boat is! Safe Travels

You mentioned the time it takes with the hand pump on location…try using a makita or Milwaukee battery dust blower to pump the majority of it up to save time

@realfamilyman

You answered your own question. The baby is how they keep fit. Making it in the first place, feeding it, changing it, playing with it, chasing it, running to keep everything in sight out of its mouth, jogging to the doctor to get the pill prescription or vasectomy...

I was sold on these inflatables and had it narrowed down to true kit or Takacat. Takacat had a much better shipping price at the time so I went with them. It’s horrible because although my boat has been fine so far I see a lot of people have unrepairable leaks on the floor. I think trukit is def the way to go
@realfamilyman

When I saw you unpack this for the first time my first thought was the seat was going to be weak, and wear where it attaches, even though it looks like they've made it thicker in that area. I think the seat is a flawed design, they could have done a lot better, and only did it that way because they were fixated on keeping an inflatable floor. There was no need to. I've seen inflatable dinghies with hard floors that still float if the pontoons deflate. And with a hard floor they could have made a lightweight box style seat instead, rectangular, with curved ends to fit snug against the pontoons, and with an internal support structure (like a crisscross grid - think old plastic milk crates) which could have then rested on the hard floor instead of tugging downwards on pockets slowly wearing against the pontoons. And because a hard floor would be relatively thin it could have been stored in various places in any vehicle, like in the bottom of a car boot, strapped to the roof or boot lid or even the engine hood, stood upright just behind the front seats or behind the back of a lounge inside a camper - even over your head inside the vehicle. They also could have made it with a folding hinge/s or in "planks" that slide and lock together. (The rear of the boat is open to water anyway. So obviously hinges or joins in the floor wouldn't matter because they don't need to keep water out.) But there's no money in making in a perfect product that doesn't break/wear out. Making it just a little better than the rest so word spreads and sell more of them is enough, right?

I use a cheap 7ah agm battery and a $120 12v pump from Anaconda, for my inflatable boat. Put it in a backpack and it's fully portable and will save your back.🎉

Hi Chris we are really interested in your catamaran. Now you have had it for 12 months what would you change if you could. We have a Commander SLRV truck and was looking at a tinny but like the idea of simply storing the boat out of sight. By the way we like your channel. We are Team D-Tour Garry and Heather cheers Garry.

We have a tinny on a trailer and an inflatable boat on a trailer and if I had to choose one I'd choose the 1973 tinny. i don't believe any inflatables from 1973 are still in service. The inflatable is a lot better for diving and the roughest water. For everything else the tinny is better.

I haven't watched ya vid yet, but just wondering have you looked into how good these electric outboards are now (not just for trolling). A bit lighter to carry, no need for fuel storage just charge up the battery and go. Like Temo..

Still has fuel storage u got to put a big heavy battery in it or it won't run its electric , all they need is an 8hp two stroke motor their light and the rubber ducky will still fly with one

You stated that it's tiring pumping up the boat with the pump instead of useing a footpump or an electric pump check the clips on KZbin that show people using a battery powered air blower to pump up the pontoons and the floor for most of it then finish off with the hand pump. They do it in a fraction of the time . Happy boating hoping to get a true kit myself in the future.
