I had a book as a kid that had true stories about things like the “love canal” disaster. One story was about a trunk sale. A semi had a sale on kid’s jeans out of their truck and bunch of people bought them. Almost every kid got very sick or died, but one. The only factor was that the mother washed the jeans first, which none of the other parents did. I’ve never worn new clothes without washing them since I read that story.

Yas it’s always good to wash, think about everyone who tried it on, and if they were they barhed before hand . In factory workers are not the hygienic either. But i I didn’t even think about the chemicals.
