@@darkdanish9809 You've probably already seen it, but chronological order doesn't improve the show in any way (it stops being an anthology after season 2 pretty much anyway). But it is fun to see the little attentions to detail, such as why Yoda is on Toydaria in the very first (and probably worst) episode of the show in the first place. Even the crappy episodes ultimately end up paying off in some way. The worst arc imo is with the little green guy when they have all the astromech droids and they get lost on a salt planet... BUT we get introduced to Gregor and the clone commandos as a concept, and we find out that Gregor survive order 66 and the empire and is living with Rex in rebels. “This show was made by people who really don’t like the prequel trilogy” Dave Filoni goes on record to talk about the greatness of the prequels
@katleon3123 жыл бұрын
Seriously though, in my opinion the major issue with the prequels wasn’t the storyline or the acting. It was the appalling dialogue that sort of made the scenes awkward. Many people blame Hayden Christensen for acting badly and too awkwardly but I think that he did his best with the script he was given. Besides, Anakin is supposed to be awkward especially in Attack of the Clones. In Revenge if the Sith, I believe that he was meant to be more conflicted so his whining sort of makes sense, however looking back at Clone Wars Anakin, there’s no competition between who is the best. They’re two different interpretations of him.

Where my love for Star Wars began. I remember my dad taking me to watch the film when it was in cinemas and I fell in love right there, as a 6 year old kid it was the best thing I’d seen in my life. The movie has aged badly granted but it walked so the series could run, it’ll always have a place in my heart for making me love Star Wars. While Return of the Jedi will forever be my all time favourite film both in Star Wars and in general, the Clone Wars is my favourite media of all time and the greatest saga in Star Wars (in my humble opinion).

@gemhelmet.2 жыл бұрын
Coming back to rewatch this is always so funny when Marcus just INTENSELY asserts that "this fixes what YOU hate about the prequels" and that the creators "hated the prequels", because of the fact that a large amount, perhaps even a majority, of clone wars fans are prequel fans and both Dave Filoni and Sam Witwer have spoken in detail about the things they love about the prequels. You can't really make an entire show about the mythos and lore surrounding the prequels if you hate them
@heatherwills34044 жыл бұрын
This show also makes "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" have actual weight and pain to it. Watching Anakin evolve, how the war shaped him and his views, showing why Anakin and Padme work so well together, etc better explains his actions in the movie. Everything from how heartbreaking it is to watch Obi Won and Anakin fight to even the more mundane things, like why Anakin would be ticked about being denied the title of Jedi Master--since he's one of the most successful generals in the war. It's all there and even though the dialogue and vicariously the acting is still painful, your personal, emotional investment now exists thanks to this show. I can fucking go on and on about how much I love this show. Yeah, watch this show. Fall in love with the real Anakin Skywalker.

personally i still do not like revenge of the sith. note anakin was somewhat justified in killing dooku since he couldn't be taken prisoner in a million years based on their situation, less justified in killing those sand people but they did kill his mother (note it explains his reasoning doesn't justify his actions in killing the sand people), however killing children and innocents, trusting a sith is better than the jedi (even though the jedi are fairly flawed it is like saying i hate the hypocrisy of the U.S and join nazi germany), and putting so much faith in an unclear vision that you indirectly cause it. And did this guy really think padme would never find out much less forgive him for the countless people he's killed. Also under the emporer he condones and in fact bolsters with brute force the slavery of multiple species including wookeis (given he's given in at this point the transistion just doesn't work). The primary issue is anakin's process in thinking the darkside could possibly save padme. And why the hell did anakin even remoltey 100% trust sidious? Like WHY? He could've left the jedi order just as ashoka did.
@heatherwills34044 жыл бұрын
@@ravimanne8148 I agree. Most of the movie is bonkers in the leaps of logic and the complete lack of any angle that would make sense in motivations. I only meant that Star Wars Clone Wars creates Anakin as a fully fleshed-out person with both good and bad parts. In the series, he makes a lot of choices that the Jedi frown on, but normal people would consider commendable, like not giving up on Ashoka when it was believed she died or risking his life with his men, valuing every single clone's life, and feeling real emotion and empathy when any of his men died. (Which considering how much he valued life and wouldn't give up until every option was exhausted to save people, what he did in episode 3 is even more WTF?) The SWCW series allows the viewer at least some type of real emotional connection and regret when Anakin falls to the dark side. That's all.

While I do enjoy Rebels, I totally understand why people view it poorly compared to The Clone Wars. Even though it is made by the same people the story telling is completely different. Nearly every arc of TCW had a neatly written story that really seemed like it could have been a mini movie with an obvious beginning, middle, and end. Rebels on the other hand has more drawn out stories but still has good climaxes and endings. For some reason it just seems like the writers are forced or encouraged to fill episodes with not very important content and pepper in main story elements throughout which really puts a hurting on the pacing and a lot of people's enjoyment of the show.

I got the chills seeing those scenes. Your so dang right Clone wars is best. And honestly Padme has become my favorite character in that show. And I mean just look at the animation it looks flawless. There are so many brilliant arcs in thsy show and I just love it. Also seeing some characters from this show in rebels made me kinda emotional and I enjoyed rebels but I understand some of your critics on it it's not as good as clone wars that's for sure, but it's still good in my opinion.
