Another "villain has chance to eliminate hero but for some reason does not" moment brought to you by the Screen Writers' Guild
@SmartassX1
@SmartassX1 Жыл бұрын
Actually he pretty much did eliminate the hero, in the sense that the hero was not left alone. He was left with multiple henchmen who were ordered to kill him. They seemed to be having no trouble accomplishing that. Surely that villain had arranged exactly this for a number of his enemies in the past and rightfully assumed basic competence from his henchmen. Why would he need to personally kill people, if he has people for that? And more importantly, he was wise enough to leave when the hero was still live and healthy. That way if anything at all goes wrong, he could tell the police that he knew nothing about it.

I love this movie. I just watched this last night in fact. Im a huge fan of Eddie. That being said, he has never come across as a "tough" guy. At least to me. In the beverly hills cop movies, he seemed to perfectly blend comedy with action and he came across as very capable and scrappy. In this film and several others, he even gets serious at times. Ive never thought to myself in any of these films that he was about to go HAM on people.

I had no idea the guy who plays the main villain is British. I always thought he was from some Eastern European country or Sweden since he always plays Russian characters. It was actually my first seeing him play a non-Russian character in Beverly Hills Cop. He also kind of looks like the late Michael Nyqvist from the John Wick movies. I actually thought Michael was him when I saw him in Hunter Killer, but then it dawned on me that he would be very old by then. Coincidentally the main villain in the second movie is also known for mostly playing Russian characters.

I was once a cop, I used to carry a load of liquid nitrogen. It came in useful when I told suspected criminals to freeze.

I am guessing the reason Rosewood clearly looks shaken here after saving Foley is that he has either never had to shoot anyone before or it has been a long time since he had to.

It was the 80s. You would be automatically disqualified for NOT playing everything on a casio.
