You can definitely turn around, but they can also decide to chase you and find out why you did. The same way they look for people to overreact to their presence. Or when theyre standing on a corner in a city, the people who are doing nothing wrong will walk right by them and pay them no attention. I should have been more clear. If you avoid a DUI checkpoint in a state where they're legal, many, if not most will make an illegal move, such as a mid-lane turnaround or u-turn (as in this case).
