Is gameloft the one to blame though? Disney itself is a very greedy company so I am not sure whether the developer is the one to blame. Usually from the higher ups they are forced to put more monetization in their games even if the devs itself hate it.

Appears to me that this is the case. We’ll never know, though. I see your point but I think Disney has a lot more sources of revenue than Gameloft will ever have. Plus, look at Gameloft’s portfolio. Their approach to monetizing games is quite similar all throughout. Thus, IMO this is the case. But again, I see where you’re coming from.

Yup I am in the same boat. Before the update I had Mickey Mouse Maxed Out. But after the upgrade system I got Mike up 10 lvls from 40-50 & a bunch of characters to lvl 40 & there all still not even lvl 40 yet & I am down to about 200K of upgrade coins left & I have no intention of buying upgrade coins. There why to expensive

Disney Dreamlight Valley, another game by Gameloft, offers even better representations of the Disney license. It retains the authentic Disney feel without the undesirable loot box aspect because you purchase it upfront.

Disney takes a big cut for all of Speedstorm earnings it’s like the StarWars games by Ubisoft and ea. every IP Disney got they need a ridiculous amount of money for so no gameloft is not greedy Disney is and they need to pay for every character and all the servers and devs so they need to have a big budget and that is with the micro transactions. (I agree that the prices are to high but the devs are not to blame) (English is not my first language so I apologise for the wording)

@joshridgway7302 The main four can easily fit one of the four respective racer criteria; Mr. Incredible as a Brawler and Dash as a Speedster. I'm not sure whether Elastigirl or Violet will be either a defender or trickster, as they each have their own degrees of defense and tricks.

Nice video, Sky! The new upgrade system is definitely better to level up racers than before but the lack of Upgrade Coins rewards made things more tricky.... after my terrible experience with the lack of Red Cans on past seasons, i just level up racers when i truly need to complete Tour and events, if people spend all the convert coins without think, this could be lead to a huge progression trouble.

I haven’t been spending all of upgrade coins. Been saving them for the current/future seasons and events. Only been focusing on racers that will be needed. Not all racers are used in the chapters and events.

The real money cost to upgrade coins is honestly bonkers. There is an illusion here though, that we need lvl 50 characters, when we don't actually need them. Just take all your characters to platinum, then fully ignore ranked mode. I highly recommend not trying to go to diamond, that's for spenders only, but one is welcome to try. IMO it's a very painful and slow grind due to game bugs and lag starts losing points. Level characters to around 30-35 or as needed for all other activities, tournament, tour etc. while saving at least 75k coins for unforseen things coming up. Overall, doing that, things are working out pretty well.. at least so far.

After doing the math for this, it seems you get 3 upgrade coins for every 1 token. Which is INSANE how bad that is, and is probably why upgrade coins are so scarce. For example, if you want to get a character from level 33 to 34, it's 2300 upgrade coins or about $8. Or getting a character from level 49 to 50 is 10,000 upgrade coins or about $34. Completely ridiculous!

I joined when the game first launched but I only recently started to play again. It’s a bit frustrating having Jesse but not being able to play her missions because I don’t have the characters before those missions which makes it harder to get Ralph. I got some tokens so I’m hoping I can at least unlock all the wreck it characters when the second part drops

I for the most part will only use it to level up characters to 35 and my main for each Season to 40 (Got Vanellope to 40 this Season) And might just with leftover upgrade coins level up 1 or 2 levels on specific characters I love. Already got my mains (1 per class) maxed out so already got that over with. But crazy how Ariel is just halfway done with required upgrade coins.

I absolutely agree! Stop at level 40 at the max. There's no point going any higher than 40 honestly. It's a really decent level to compete and it just guarantees you can complete any requirement in the future. But obviously priorities the node characters and levels first.

I always make sure i don't drop below 100k. This new upgrade system is a good idea but when i saw the amount the gave us for completing dailies, mission and such , I knew it will hurt us a lot.

I've pretty much given up on unlocking anyone new or even attempting the Seasons. Seasons are just the same thing over and over again and It's gotten really tedious and draining. I also don't like being forced to use characters I don't have fun playing as. Fix-it Felix Jr is the only Wreck it Ralph character I have because I refuse to pay for the Gold Pass and support this greed. I just want to race as Donald and Minnie, So I just focus all my resources on them so I can have fun with my favorite characters online or in Local Free play

Golden Pass - I think there will be 2 paid golden passes each season with different racers in each from now on rather than 1 long golden pass for the whole season meaning you have to buy a new golden pass every 5 weeks if you want all the racers

So I started playing when Aladdin's season came out, the f2p era. What would you recommend - level the characters for the Tournament Vault characters to the World Tour ones? I don't really have Anna at 20+ or have a Sulley, Ortensia, Gantu etc. So my World Tour is giving incomplete.

Fact is, I am on lvl 44 or near and literally its way too easy to get to lvl 49 plus once you reach level 45 or so which is the kart liveries, now it costs 1250xp to level up insteak of 1k xp. So pretty much near and daily playing the game minus one quest I didn't get to finish that I forgot

U actually can reach level 50 pretty easily I’m level 26, I only completed the first chapter of the season tour, do the daily and weekly missions (i have a few missions to complete) The missions I have to complete are up to 5 levels, each season chapter gives u at least 5 levels, so doing the sum, that’s kinda like level 46 (at least) when I complete all (except the final chapter)

Even though I spent all my coins that I ended up 1 coin left, one coin, I already got my characters to around lvl 30 minimum at least before the conversion and got my 3 wir characters pass lvl 30 too. So slowly building up my characters while also taking the bonus on racer boost on some characters as well. Bet if some were lvl 50 maxed out, I will take it and earn some season coins instead but get a whole lot of upgrade coins after. Getting shards is a simple grind and I don't mind waiting for now to save up to gain more shards plus saving upgrade coins easily too

Nothing has changed to be fair, s1 to s6 had items to upgrade so getting high level was a struggle even at times impossible. Now s7 has coins, its equally the same pain in the ass as before but just hidden within a new system. I would say tho, yes spend coins yes upgrade racers as youll need them soon or within the near future. Chapter 4 needs venllope at z level, then events need z racers at a level. So yes you need to upgrade however like before do it within reason.

My problem is with chapter 4 in nodes 7 and 8, I need a Gaston and Ortensia at level 26, so I can't even get to the nodes after at 9 and 10 Celia Mae and Ursula at 26 that I do have, so that's an extra 6 shards that I won't have and I probably won't even get the 12 Ralph shards

Conversion was generous? Lol, I feel like we got shafted. I was dumb and ended up spending all my coins . (171k) Wanted more characters at 30. Sure, the new upgrade system is better on paper, but they are being so stingy with upgrade coins.. it's not even funny. I 100% expect recommended level for even season characters to hit +40 on the main path in part 2, with optional paths hitting 45-50.
