Also best aspect of the characters is that it's a fixed cast, there are only these 12 characters for the entire series, no one off episode characters, no background characters, no parents. With the exception of the movie of course. Every character got multiple episodes to shine and develop. No one felt unnecessary or underused.

There was a single one off character, Eddy’s brother, and that was for the finale of the movie. They went 130 episodes, 4 specials and 3/4 of a movie with just those 12 characters. I don’t think any other show can make a claim like that

I often put Ed, Edd, and Eddy in my mind right next to KND. I think both shows to a fantastic job of portraying what it meant to be a kid and growing up as a kid. The imagination and fantastical way we can often see the world as when we are younger. Something as simple as getting a quarter stuck to the ground by gum, or figuring out the perfect flavor of ice cream gets expanded to fantastical proportions and fits a childs imagination so well. I appreciate what both shows did for me growing up and expanding my imagination while also giving me solidarity as a kid. They were great memories.

I’ve been watching your videos for a few days and I don’t know what it is about this one but it made me cry. I felt so connected to all the characters in Ed edd n eddy, and they all meant the world to me, as a kid I felt it was the fantastical world I’d always wanted to be apart of 3 close friends and all their neighborhood buddies getting into mischief and adventure together learning life lessons day by day I felt like I was growing with the characters because I had a similar dynamic on the culdesac I lived on. I miss being a kid.

one of my favorite parts of the summer was the Ed Edd and Eddy marathon CN would play every year. I live in Phoenix, so playing outside during the summer wasn’t exactly something advisable, so it was nice to see creative stories about playing outside and using one’s imagination. My favorite episodes were the ones where the Eds built a cardboard city, and the one filled to the brim with off the wall meta-humor and cartoon physics like old Loony Toons episodes would occasionally have. You mention the show didn’t over stay its welcome, but there was at least a season or two set in the fall and the kids all in school. I felt like that really jumped the shark and was trying to squeeze as many more stories as they could out of the kids.

I remember watching this premier when I was 3 and eagerly awaited every episode until the show ended. To me, it would relate to my friends at the time and we would try to build on some of the stuff in the show, later on though I was in a car accident with my friends when I was 8 and they passed. This show more or less let me pretend they were still here, that I still had friends to connect to I guess

To me, growing up in the early 2000’s, during the era of the CN City, watching this show as a kid, to put it simply, in the words of Don Draper from the show Mad Men: “It’s freedom from fear, it’s a billboard on the side of the road that screams with reassurance that whatever you’re doing, it’s okay… you are okay…” I was a kid, we all were at a time. This show sealed that sense of security, to let us know we weren’t alone in defining our sense of identity.

It makes me sad that kids today will probably not give it a chance because it doesn't look pretty or it might offend any snowflakes(some how). If there was a chance a Gen Z kid reading this and isnt like what I wrote above...give the cartoon a chance.. it'll give you a laugh and hours of enjoyment.. don't judge a book by its cover and you'll probably find one kid in the show you can relate too.
