I have a cockapoo. She’s 18 months now and we have no allergies, no issues being left alone either but I do think that’s down to good training. I think most dogs don’t like being left so it’s something people need to understand how to train from the beginning. Also socialisation we took Luna in a sling for the first few weeks, again I think that’s super important for every breed to be well socialised straight away. I agree re grooming although I’m lucky with Luna’s coat she doesn’t get matts so I only brush her maybe once a fortnight. She’s got a super soft coat and she’s at the groomers every 8 weeks for a proper brush and hair cut. But the eyes do need cleaning every day for sure. I’m also lucky Luna is small (her dad was a toy poodle) so she isn’t that high energy really. She likes a walk but equally isn’t arsed if it’s bad weather and we don’t go. In fact she refuses to go out if it’s bad rain 😂 that’s the diva in her haha. I have noticed with other peoples cockapoos they can be a bit barky. Again Luna isn’t too bad but we trained her to bark on command really young so I think that’s why but a few people I know who have cockapoos they seem to bark all the time at everything. That would do my head in 🙈

I’m in a cockapoo club and I don’t know any cockapoo ‘s with allergies and most dogs don’t like to be left alone or left in the car you have just have to teach them also with the exception of small dogs all dogs need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation

@@lilyadam7318 I agree, this video seems more broad than Cockapoo specific. Generally good information. Just not ONLY about cockapoos. In my personal experience, Shar Peis have the worst luck with allergies but I have yet to personally meet a Cockapoo with any. I’m sure that it’s absolutely possible though. I just personally haven’t encountered it.

Thank you, I keep trying to get her in videos. 90% of the time when the camera comes outs she decides to nap out of shot. I think she might be camera shy 😂

Right my cockerpoo doesn't have a allergy of any sort, and she's 8 yes old.. she's only been in hospital once and that's when she was a year old to be spade, fireworks is a problem for all dogs!.. not high maintenance , if you take the time to brush them, it will take approximately 10 mins, each day, my cockerpoo has never had an ear issue.. she doesn't like being on her own, bur she doesn't go berserk either or has an anxiety attack if left..., from a puppy I use to leave her for 5 mins, and gradually up that time on a daily basis, I can leave my cockerpoo for up to 5 hrs, and she doesn't have an issue, she's never chewed up anything while left, I put that down to the time I put in when she was a puppy.. as for energetic, mine loves to 😴 💤 alot, yes she loves her daily walk, but high energy, umm no. This isn't a boxer dog.. the negatives in this video, I find don't apply to my cockerpoo, and I believe totally in the individuality of the personality of the dog, like humans we are all different in nature, breed does play a part in dogs, but personally speaking... I've the most laid back cockerpoo ever...

Thank you for the suggestions, for I have been wanting a Cockapoo... I do have a Havanese with skin issues, allergies and it was suggested to me to use a heaping tbls of yogurt, either skim milk or 2%, local raw honey and Diatomaceous Earth and all these do help. DE also helps with intestinal worms, not good to put on fur not good for lungs to breathe in for anyone.

I have owned a cockapoo for 3 years and this video is BS. My cockapoo has zero allergies. Perfect family dog and companion, great with children, easily trained, hypoallergenic (but no dog is 100% hypoallergenic) and this breed has very few cons. We are on top of his grooming which is essential for this breed, so if you are not ready to spend and groom often, then this breed is not for you.
