Can you do a video explaining the job optimizer or "lottery" my number one job just came down yesterday and I wanted to book it, then my recruiter told me that "we have to play the lottery system" before I can book. I've been doing research, watching videos, reading articles etc. about the joining process & job selection process for almost 3 years at this point and that was the first time hearing about it a job Optimizer/lottery system.

When you graduate tech school how is the on base housing process for the married with dependents

It’s pretty simple. You’d just notify the housing you need a place, and if they have availability, you’d go into a lease with them. If they don’t have availability you may have to live off base. I am 32 yo w/a BA in Psych with 9+ years of administrative experience but NO military background. I am not sure if I should aim for OTS because other USAF members implied I am not competitive enough based on my degree & GPA (it was around 3.0). I would love to challenge myself and go for OTS because of my age and educational background. Yet, I am not sure if this is hopeless based on the competitiveness of OTS. Also, I am open to Active Duty, Air National Guard, or Air Reserves. They say I should talk to a recruiter for best advice but which recruiter would it be best to talk to based on my circumstances?

Hi Jody, I have a question. I started my process with ANG and went to MEPS and took the ASVAB I scored a 30 and the maps doctor sent me to an eye doctor to examine my eyes. The eye doctor diagnosed me with ocular hypertension. I went back 30 days later to retake and scored a 30 again, fast forward six months later I’m ready to retake the ad, I decided to go active spoke to a recruiter, and my fear is that I will be disqualified because I am overweight. I was 178 pounds back in June of last year and now I weigh 195 and my second fear is that MEPS will disqualify me because of my vision that the doctor diagnosed me with that will show up on my medical record now and that it didnt in the past because i was not diagnosed with ocular hypertension. Any advice from your experience?
