Damn straight! We should sue them for NOT giving us what our bodies needed to remain in better health as we aged. I have broke my back, had my 1 left hip replaced, have badder issues, horrible sleep problems. Partly due to getting up all night to pee,but also from constant pain from inflammation issues. I have brain fog, WMD, FM,OA,AS,PS & COPD, & serious plaque in my carotid artery + lots more..!!!! I am so angry that I have been deprived of getting what my body needs to B in better health because doctors refuse to give me them saying they cause blood clots, cancer & heart disease! So do MOST of the FDA meds out there like the ones people R on for so many disorders. It's like a joke when U see a commercial for a med to HELP U, had a laundry list of serious side effects like DEATH!! If a woman gets the right balance of HRT for her body the side effects R no worse then the ones she gets from FDA products on the market people R taking everyday!!

I would say, women should TRY an effective dose of HRT or ERT for 2 months (not at dosages too low but a proper dose that really helps) and they should see for themselves if it helps or if they feel better. Each women can and should choose what she wants to do with her body and health.

I don't understand why doctors refuse to let us take HRT if we want to. Oh yea fear of being sued if U get sick or god forsake if U die! However 99% of meds FDA approved can kill U cause cancer ,etc. Yet they prescribe it like candy! I have a doctor who gives me Opioids every mo. for yrs. for my all love rbody pain. Also another doctor is giving me things like Consentyx which cause tons of terrible things for example reducing your immunize system which protects U from disease or even Covid-19 etc.., but does the medical community really care? NO, they prescribe STAINS like candy which isn't really right. For example collateral is essential for your body to function & lowering too low doesn't prevent heart attacks! Heart attacks will still happen for other causes in your body. So so much we R told or given is a slow death & cause me to have a very unhappy painful long life, but not feeling good or being very productive in my run down condition. I want to try hormones even though I am well past my menopause time. I have been taking things like WILD YAMS, DHEA & PREGNENOLONE for yrs.! So I feel I have been on some kind of hormones along with many other things I take to help keep my body in better condition. For example I don't eat meat. Almost never most of my life, I eat organic as much as I can. I do think I may have eating way too much cheese & too much cream & butter. That may B why I am having plaque, but I also think it is NOT having HRT for many yrs too! I bet if I had had hormones right for my body I would NOT B having these issues. I believe eating good fat like quality olive oil is good for the body, but I think without the hormones the good fat I have been eating is causing plaque build up in my carotid artery. I am now scared to death & MAD AS HELL because this probably wouldn't B happening if I had had good HRT for the last 30ty yrs or so! I'd like to sue doctors who said NO to me because of the BS fear it can cause cancer & heart disease. What of the meds people R taking that cause those diseases & TONS MORE? They prescribe them like candy every day to people without batting an eye or worried about the tons of side effects they cause. What do doctors do for all those side effects from FDA meds they give U? Why they prescribe another medicine to deal with them & on & on it goes with prescription after prescription till your body isn't yours & it doesn't or can't address all the shit that is in it is doesn't recognize & BANG, U body says shit, to hell with all this crap. I quit! & then U R really in deep shit! Right? Yea I know some meds. R life saving & well U gotta accept the bad side effects because the benefits out weight the bad shit, but many meds doctor prescribe like candy could B fix by them going to the source of your problem & fixing it. In many woman's cases it might just B they need hormones they don't have anymore. Maybe that would fix & prevent so many bad things woman get as they age. I'm living proof of all those bad things happening to my body because someone said NO to me because I guess they believed the BS about HRT so they feared losing their license & refused giving U something that would have prevent all the health problems that U now have that has destroyed your quality of life maybe forever! I am so mad at doctors & of not having funds to afford to pay for HRT for yrs.. I am going to try to find someone who will say yes to me so I can try something for my body to see if it makes a difference. I just might. I feel what I now have is killing me so HRT can't B any worse then what I now have!! Your thoughts doctor? I am in Santa Monica,Ca. & would love to find a top doctor who will say YES to me to try HRT! Can U suggest anyone I can research to decide if I would like to see them. I will find the funds since this is my only life!

I am disappointed that he didn’t discuss the difference between the types of estrogens - old school Premarin, conjugated estrogens, etc. and bio identical estradiol. Also, progestin vs. progesterone. He didn’t bother to mention that the WHI didn’t use bio identical estradiol and progesterone in the study, but “synthetic” estrogens and progestin, and continues to misuse the terms. I also disagree with the “10 year” rule on beginning HRT.

There only one estrogen for menopausal women: Estradiol (add progesterone if you have a uterus). There is no scientific reason for using other estrogens, only Estradiol preferably through patches or gel (bypassing the liver).

I have a few questions: is estradiol the ONLY estrogen we need to replace? What is the role of estriol? And what is the reason why they DON'T recommend progesterone as well for those without a uterus? Is progesterone harmful in any way? And HOW or WHY would equiline (a horse estrogen) offer more neuro-protective benefits? And what do the other horse estrogens do inside of us, if we take Premarin? Dont we only need estradiol? Or should we rather take Premarin???? More clarity on all this would be amazing. Thank you.

You only need transdermal bodyidentical estradiol (E2), but you should definitely also get bodyidentical micronized progesterone (not the synthetic progestines)! Not only for the uterus (as many falsely claim) but for multiple other health benefits ( like improved sleep & mental health and and and... )!!! HRT has been life-changing for me... 💪

I healed from Lyme disease and I trust that you WILL TOO. I took a year antibiotics basically and four months of that was IV antibiotics coupled with cats, claw and a month or two of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The real HBOT not the hyperbaric light. I can’t emphasize enough the fact that no matter how sore or tired you are, weight training is necessary. Muscle impacts everything and the science is showing that it does a lot more than what we ever thought. a lot of doctors specialize in Lyme disease will testify that the patient weight training, even if only two days a week, or the ones that seem to recover when others don’t. just wanted to pass that along because people were trying to make you think you’re gonna have it for the rest of your life but that’s not true. Recovered for 12 years myself 🎉 thank God. And I had to tick bite and a rash and all of that stuff, but was misdiagnosed for about six years. I know what neuro lyme & severe deathlike symptoms are.. just hang in there you will get better.

Yes, we should all increase our exercise and improve our diets. However, it seems we nowadays outlive our evolutionary plan: Nature just did not intend women to live another 30-40 years beyond menopause (at 51). Just 100 ys. ago we were lucky when we reached 50! The reason why hormone levels change is that the body starts to shut down... When thyroid glands shut down, people replace their missing thyroid hormones for the rest of their lives. Why do they replace missing hormones? Because of medical progress, thank God!
@pbj91
@pbj91 5 ай бұрын
Not necessarily true. I’m 50plus and had great-grandmothers who lived to be 90 and one even 109. They certainly didn’t have HRT in their day. They went through menopause and reached a new normal. The rotten symptoms of menopause don’t last forever. They lived long lives. Loss of estrogen may be responsible for a lot of things, but it absolutely does fuel certain cancer cells. We know that because breast cancer cells under a microscope contain estrogen receptors. No menopause symptom relief is worth the hell of breast or ovarian cancer treatment
