Irene, I once heard someone give the exact same advice for how to lose weight, improve your health, and/or build muscle at the gym. He said that consistency is the most important thing. As a result, when you first commit to it, don't push yourself too hard. Your body isn't used to it and if you do that, your muscles will ache, you won't enjoy it, and you will probably stop going. Instead, he said, the most important thing is to consistently go every day. That means, don't push yourself too hard (at least when starting). What you do in the gym is less important than simply being there and doing something every day. That kind of consistency will produce better results over time than going to the gym occasionally and working out hard. I feel like your advice for learning Italian is the same. The best way to learn a new language is to spend a little time working at it every day. 30 minutes every day will produce better results than 3 hours of intense study once a week. Consistency is the key. I like how you use philosophy to motivate. Learning something new can be very frustrating at first. It is tempting to quit, or at least take a break from it. There's more to learning a new language than just studying vocabulary words and conjugating verbs. You also teach students how to study smart. Grazie!

I am speechless. Apparently not for long. I have invested more time and money than I care to admit in my quest to learn Italian. Yet, in 19:20 I hear all of what I have been missing. At the very least I hear an approach worth considering. I am all ears and will continue to listen. Very impressive.

Ciao Irene! So esattamente di cosa stai parlando. Ho scritto quattro libri e solo con molto impegno, sudore e disciplina sono riuscito a farli tutti. A presto, Nelio Rodrigues.

Spanish is my primary languaje, english is my second, and now I'm looking to learn italian, I don't know why but I love it. Probably portuguese later on.

In The Name Of GOD I listened to the lecture you gave me, but I want to tell YOU that learning the language is not a sign of success in life at all. The evidence for that is my personal experience, for example with Italy and The Netherlands where I live. I went to Italy several times and met a number of immigrants who speak Italian fluently, but their value in Italian life is zero, zero, zero, and you know this. In The Netherlands more worth, thousands of immigrants had costed The Dutch millions of euros to let them speak the language but the result is unfortunately no value added to The Dutch Life at all, But On the contrary, they made the general appearance in the Netherlands bad Success in life has completely other criteria, the first of which is to make your own success book with your own hands without imitating others or learning at the university. There are hundreds of thousands of university graduates whose value in life is zero and they cannot add anything to their lives or the lives of others, even those who graduated from Harvard University, because it was simply programmed to implement the goals of others. By The way I am graducted from The Cairo University , Faculty of Commerse. Business Administration one of The most important Universities in Life and I saw a lot of different experience relating studdies. Studying and reading is important in Life But Unfortunately is used in a very bad manner. I wish YOU all the best of success. Amen.
