You're so right Wayne. I'm 47 this month and don't have many wrinkles but I look my age. My skin looks younger without foundation but I like the way I look better with it on. I so wish we could change the way we think about ageing. I finished chemo/radiotherapy yesterday. I've had cancer twice. 15-20 years ago, I would probably have died but because we have wonderful scientists constantly finding new treatments, I am still alive and looking forward to the future. It is an honour to have wrinkles. We should be wearing them with pride instead of hating the way we look. Anyway, thank you for doing this. I really enjoyed it and you are so right. 😘😘😘😘

This youth-obsessed world is ridiculous. Sandra... it is derived from Clostridium botulinum bacteria.....not the bacteria itself...the neurotoxin is processed by separating the A subunits and the B subunits.....the A is used in injections.....and since it temporarily acts on acetylcholine receptors.....the body eventually absorbs it ....I would be more weary of the new designer mixtures of botox...

I'm sick to death of these young woman who have flawless faces and are talking about their wrinkles and hooded eyes. It's so ridiculous! They will regret all this botox and fillers someday. As in all things relating to botox and fillers (FDA), it will later be determined this actually made your skin on your face age faster and is likely to be detrimental in a long run. When they can't get it anymore, that skin that stretched from all the botox and fillers giving you a smooth face, is going to look much worse than if you didn't use them. Fact is, we are going to age and all the things you do for temporary relief in your looks aren't that healthy and in a long run, will be found to be not so hot. Injecting a toxin in your face isn't smart.

I am almost 60 years old. I am very grateful that I stumbled across one of your videos. I now subscribe to both of your channels. The reason is you’re actually very practical. You tell things like they are and do not sugarcoat them or stretch the truth. And your beauty advice is spot on. I have used several of your techniques myself to improve my make up application. I love the step by step demos that you do. I just wish I could zap all of your knowledge into my brain.

I mix primer with a bit of light foundation, and one drop of oil, then on top I do minimal powder, spray Evian, dab that off and dab mattifying liquid on here and there to blur any lines left! People always say I have nice skin and think I’m about 15yrs younger than I am...I just let them keep thinking that too 🤔🤫

I am always in awe of you, but for this specific subject, you, Sir, are a GOD ! I love you so much, Wayne. You are so knowledgable, so honest and so lovely with it. I have no words. Have a wonderful weekend 🙏🥰💝

Hugs Wayne. I am 67 and lucky enough to have really great skin. I have never worn foundation, concealer, or powder. But recently got involved with Bareminerals and learned the correct way to use their mineral loose powder foundation. It is a light coverage and I really love it for all the reasons you just discussed. Your videos are wonderful. Thanks..

It would be better to focus on healthy eating, and finding right products to address our skin issues, and go light on the makeup..

Wayne, I really needed to hear this. I'm still learning make up and have been so upset at how it made the winkles under my eyes so bad. Thank you for sharing your insight.

Wayne - THANK YOU! I will aim for even and try to let go of wrinkles. This was so helpful!!

Wayne thank you your video is so spot-on. I totally agree these newer foundations are ridiculous and there's so many ingredients in them that cause skin irritation. You're right less is more you pick and choose your battles as we get older. Love you

You speak the truth! I have just learned that less is more around the eyes...just like you said. I only use concealer where I need it. It makes a huge difference. Plus, I kinda earned these wrinkles. HAHA. 😉

It DOES make a difference...Ive been 'painting by the numbers' around my eyes lately and noticed a huge difference...I didn't know it was 'a thing' though. Finally, after all the trial and error I'm starting to get my makeup for the over 60 me right. Thank you for the validation Wayne - you're the best! ❤️

I've tried using the ELF HD powder under my eyes after applying my concealer and bb cream or foundation and I find that stops any wrinkles forming from having to smile all the time :D

Thank you! I gave up on using concealer because of that very problem. I just use foundation or a BB cream to even out my skin tone.

62 here almost 63 & appreciate this! I have & love 4 products; Estée Lauder Double Wear, MAC Face and Body, MAC Studio Fix powder foundation & MAC ProLongWear concealer used as a tinted moisturizer mixed with skin cream. I sometimes wonder about other things that claim to bounce light but the others I try never work as well as these 4. And these don’t collect in my pores and rub off elsewhere leaving the weird polka dots of white in a sea of redness, blotches & sun damage. I use them alternating based on what I am doing that day and what I’m feeling like. At the end of the day (literally) I notice my face still looks tired and wrinkly. But with these 4 it is still looking more even. The best one is the Face & Body. It stays looking like skin but filtered.

Yes! I love this video! Something you said about foundation is to even out the skin and not cover everything up! I love that! Totally agree!

Thanks you so much! I am 73 and extremely pale. Lately my skin has become quite pink, nearly red. I am looking at makeup and this really helps me to avoid going on and expensive and futile search. Minimal cost, even skin tone, and accept the badges of aging.

You are 100% RIGHT and I’m glad SOMEONE said it hunny!! I’m 43y/o I’m no spring chicken let’s get real 🥴 however the more and more I learn about makeup and different formulas and primers and what these primers actually do, I found the PERFECT combo that does not enhance anything in my opinion I do have a deep wrinkle on one smile line 🤔 I must have a crooked smile 😉 and EVERYTHING seemed to settle into it and the tiny little wrinkles directly on that lower lash line, same deal... well, until I discovered primers now I feel this doesn’t extenuate these areas MUCH and I personally never used foundation, I use the IT Cosmetics CC cream and it’s AHHH MAZING 🥰🥰 the combo I’ve found that works “for me” is, first I use the Fab First Aid Beauty Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer 💣 💣 it’s tacky which I’ve never used a tacky primer before so that’s key, then over that just in my pores I use the NYX Pore Filler, the two do not pill up they work fantastic together!! Another great pore filler that I will use too is the Cover FX Blurring Primer 👌🏻👌🏻 thanks for this tutorial you put A LOT into perspective!!!!!! Oh one more thing 🥴 it’s 100% KEY to take care of your skin as well I learned that through these years of my makeup journey 🤦🏻♀️ putting what I just mentioned on my face if I haven’t washed, moisturized, did my nightly routine etc then FAHGETABOUTIT....

Awesome video❤️ The process of cutting down on our makeup as we age is brutal. It's a ritual of our youth and all that that encompasses.I am trying to focus on skin care and keeping it more simple with my eye looks, as much as that pains me. It is what it is❤️😘

You should have watched my attempts to do eyeliner on my aging and increasingly droopy outer kids (large lids in youth, sigh) earlier this evening. You would have sympathized. Only succeeded in doing (shortish) wings once I put aside any notion of copying anyone else or looking a certain way, i.e. younger. I actually seem to have cracked it by working out what is the best angle and level for me. I noticed you mentioned eyes and aging so thought I would share!
