I agree with you. But I would add some more... Never mix relaxer. This will give you chimical cut. Make sure all the properties are the same. Never reapply relaxer on relaxed hair this will damage your hair. Don't wash your hair everyday Don't sleep with wet hair. Do a kind of chronogram. That is what I do on my hair... Every time I wash my hair I do a deep condition but follow those steps Week 1 - hydration - hydration - nourishing Week 2- repeat week 1 Week 3 hydration, hydration, reconstruction Week 4 hydration, hydration and nourishing. If your hair is badly braking take same hydration step out and use more reconstruction. Hydration masks - look for products with glycerin, bepanthen, aloe Vera that give water to your hair. Nourishing - masks with oils and vitamins... Coconut oil, avacado, argan, marrocan oil, olive oil, flaxseed... etc Reconstruction - keratin keratin keratin all the way lol 😂 of curse if your hair is already strong and you apply too much keratin it can break as well. I'm from Brazil this type of treatment is very popular back home. At the moment I don't have any chimical on my hair.... But I have use all types of relaxer and Brazilian blow dry on my hair. It helps as well to 2 weeks before you relax it do a intensive week of deep treatment... So your hair is well prepared to receive a strong chimical. It is less like to break. Chimicaly treat hair need special attention. It is very time consuming and expensive. But totally worth. So I have loads of mask from cheap to expensive... But the brands that do wonders for my hair is L'Oréal professional (intense repair)( curl contour) Kerastase.... I love all the lines but If your hair is badly damaged I recommend kerastase residence it is the best of the best. Joico Avon- kera care Lanza Etc If you are using drogstore masks add liquid bepanthen, oils, glycerin, extra vitamins. Every hair has it own demands, look for what your hair need the most. If you look after, it will be shiner and strong Haaaaa castor oil helps with grow. Omg... I talk to much I hope it helped. Xxx

Elizabeth Ferreira What does hydration, hydration, nourishing mean for week 1? Does it mean you deep condition 3 times in one week?
@bectinha6 жыл бұрын
@@gemruby41 I don't know the name in English... As my first language is Portuguese.... But in Brazil we call cronograma capilar. The treatment involve in 3 steps : hydration, nutrion and reconstruction. So let's say you wash your hair 3 times in a week. So, week 1 Monday - use a deep hydration hair mask. Wednesday use hydration mask. Saturday use a nutrion mask. Next week use the same process. Third week instead of use nutrion use reconstruction mask. If you wash your hair one week it's OK as well, as long as each time you wash your hair you use a deep mask. Following the concept of hydration, nutrition and reconstruction. Most of the time chimically hair need more keratin to be strong.. If that is the case do 2 reconstruction treatment one hydration and one nutrition. But don't abuse too much keratin can break and to much oil can leave your hair greasy. Even hydration can leave your week. It's all depend of the level of the damage. Do you know when the hair ends are elastic after a relaxer.... So that is the time people should wash as less possible and use loads of keratin. It is sounds too much but I promise it works... If I show the pictures of my hair before and after you not going to believe. You just need 3 mask or like I said some supplements to make the mask more potent. Haaaa shampoo sulfate free and pH from 4 to 5 is the best.... I hope you understand!! ❤️ 😊 💋

@SolSearching If your hair is non-porous use lighter oils like almond jojoba and avocado oil. Heavier oils like coconut, olive and castor oil are better for scalp nourishment and are also better on porous hair types. Whatever you do , make sure to use a good deep conditioner, prepoo and a leave in conditioner. Relaxed hair needs alot of conditioning to prevent dry, damaged, breaking hair.

It disappoints me that so many “professional” hairstylists keep relaxers on so long and/or over process the hair..... I have resorted to supervising them when relaxing my hair 😏. Too many are getting licenses and care more about styling than scalp health at least in my experiences.

YES elite3737! 100% agreed. I use to "police" my stylist and got her trained so well. Then she moved away. I slacked off on the next stylist and that led STRAIGHT TO OVERPROCESSED HAIR! I'm so upset with myself.Dominique - can we borrow Gloria over here in NYC? I promise to send her back! LOL! I am about to embark upon a SERIOUS hair journey. I think I have all the tools. I just need to train my new stylist on EXACTLY how to relax or rather TEXLAX my new growth. Believe me, I had to fight with my last stylist. She keep telling me that my hair was "under processed' and that I was wasting my money...however, my hair was thriving, so I must have been doing something right. And where can I find that indigo luster glo? I need it in my life.Also, ladies try the TGIN honey mask for your deep conditioning. I add a little Jamaican Black Castor oil in the portion I plan on using on wash day. That mask is MAGIC!!!!! Just do as instructed...only need 15 minutes with heat or 30minutes w/o heat. Trust me, you will love it! Also, very important after relaxers I find is to get a protein treatment...if you're overly sensitive, then a "light" one, but it's somewhat imperative. Just to replace what the relaxer has removed BUT ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS follow up with a moisturizer or you will pay dearly. I did in a MAJOR way. Protein overload is the absolute worst! Unless it happens to you, you cannot imagine the instant damage. Wishing you a happy, healthy, hair day! xoxox

Style Domination base your scalp with Vaseline or oil. Don't start relaxing in the same place on your head. Each time move to a different location that keeps you from over straightning one area. Also a box relaxer is ok...but use a chelating shampoo to get the calcium out or it can build up and make your hair hard. Deep conditioning is a must for at least 30 minutes once a month... I love your videos and I am natural. Both requires effort and work. Folks assume going natural that their hair is going to all of sudden mystically grow lol far from the truth. However, if you take extra care of both relaxed and natural hair your hair will grow. I've been on both sides of the fence, I learned my hair in it's natural state and grew it down my back, but I know for a fact, if I had applied the methods I use on my natural hair, on my once upon a time relaxed hair, my hair would have grown WL just saying... Patience and loving your hair, it will grow.

Can i use coconut oil on relaxed hair?

Best products to strengthen relaxed hair? I was natural for six years. Now that I’ve relaxed it’s falling out like crazy. Thank God it isn’t breaking at the roots, but when I wash it clumps and clumps of hair are coming out. I get it trimmed every six weeks. I don’t know what to do. I feel like I can’t reverse this and will have to big chop hair that grew pass my shoulders. I was relaxing every six weeks, but maybe I’ll take your advice and do it every 10-12. But what else can be done? It’s weak and when it was natural it was incredibly strong and long and thriving. I just got tired of the insane maintenance. Please help. I’ll also send this in a dm to your Instagram. Thank you for your help in advance

Aubrey Denson Hi Aubrey!!! Oh no!! I’m so sorry. Yes - relaxing every six weeks is way too much glad you extended that. Are you relaxing by yourself? Do you go to a stylist? And can you tell me a little more about your routine and the products you’re using? Are you deep conditioning, moisturizing and sealing?

I just started back relaxing my hair last year. my stylist would use a different brand each relaxer day. i began noticing breakage and shedding at home. something just isnt right. i go to her every 8 weeks. do you think i should stretch a little?
@kathaiti4 жыл бұрын
Your stylist should not be using a different branch each relaxer day. That is not healthy for the hair at all. I hope you found another stylist.

Great tips!! I will try to add it to my hair routine. Thank God I'm learning how to take good care of my hair now. Your channel is really helping me with this! I also would love to find thoses products here in Brazil, I mean I can find them but it's way too expensive, more than it should be, especially those with extra moisturizing formulas. :( you look gorgeous as always, loved the way you styled your hair 😚

I relaxed my hair last year after 5 years of being natural. It's severely over processed with the middle partially gone I was told to cut it but it'll be so short what do recommend? Thank you
@StyleDomination5 жыл бұрын
Beautiful jewel Oh jeez. I’m so sorry! Can you tell me how short the middle is? I would probably trim the whole head and give your hair a rest from the relaxers. Focus heavily on deep conditioning and daily moisturizing. Maybe try Olaplex No. 3...
@beautifuljewel34295 жыл бұрын
@@StyleDomination it's almost gone good news is a patch of new hair but I'll almost have a boy cut vs a pixie cut it happened due to stress as well . Was told to get some vitamins as well but I'll take your advice about the deep conditioning as well.

Its not breaking but its not retaining length. I have 4c hair and its thick, but getting longer.
@StyleDomination3 жыл бұрын
Hey babe! Unless you are cutting it, if you aren’t retaining length, I’m pretty sure it’s breaking.

I usually go every 8 weeks. wish I could wait 10 weeks but i am scared of breakage. but hey i could get breakage from going every 8 weeks. this may be the reason my hair has a little breakage/ weak areas

Hi there! I've struggled with hair loss in my front edges ever since I gave birth to my second son 6 year ago. Nothing has ever really seemed to help them recover. Do you think I should just shave my head and start over? At what point does one need to cut their losses, do you think?

Saw your message and thought of a few tips to give u hope it helps. You tube this problem as I saw some really good ones. I would recommend going to a proffessional instead of doing it yourself unless your qualified there is so much that u don't know unless u are. Sardines or any oily fish 3 times a week is really good for the hair. One small tin can do you a week. I split the tin into 3 lots and have it say on mon, wed, fri. Massaging the scalp will all be explained in the videos on youtube. Try and also make sure that u are having a healthy balanced diet that also helps
@juciee19826 жыл бұрын
Thank for your video... I have a question When you speaking about Your sensitive scalp... I took have a sensitive scalp... What did you start using to help base before a relaxer? I have used Vaseline or coconut oil.
@StyleDomination6 жыл бұрын
KINGDOM kid 4 Life! Hey Kingdom Kid! I use both. I will put Vaseline on my hairline focusing on my edges, nape and ears. I then will coat my hair with some coconut oil for extra protection. We are on the same wavelength!
@juciee19826 жыл бұрын
Style Domination thank you.. I noticed a more protected scalp with coconut oil. Yes and definitely Vaseline for the edges and nape area
