Yea probably ...my wife has been sick for months and we've even talked about this at lengthy conversations so here I am I finally gave in and decided to watch the ad. I guess it'll make the algorithm happy that I succumbed to it.

This recording has some issues. Is it a gate with too strong threshold? It keeps cutting out unnaturally between your speaking and could be quite offputting.

Wrong crack. I thought she was addressing the crack your voice breaks when you are arguing and on the verge of losing it.

Ok, I know absolutely nothing about singing and I’ve really been meaning to ask somebody who knows their stuff about it, like you seem to. Basically, I don’t know if this is for others, but there’s like 3 parts to my voice. There’s a low range, a fairly high pitched range (say above the 4th octave of a piano, up to the end of the 5th), but then There’s the part where a lot of songs are, which is between the high and low notes. For some reason, my voice breaks whenever I try and sing the mid-range notes. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t. Like, it works for a few seconds, Then the voice breaks, then it works again etc etc. I don’t know why this is. If I go to the fourth octave I’m comfortable and pretty fine singing with that, but if I go to what I consider my middle range, my voice cracks, or at least, it’s difficult to sing (like the voice sounds really dry idk how to explain it). Sorry for rambling, but I’d really appreciate if you had some advice for me

Ayham Shaheed hi and the area you are talking about is exactly the area I’m talking about here! Sliding exercises that work through and over that difficult area will greatly help. It definitely can be a frustrating place so, give it some time. Accessing that area is using the flexibility from the high notes that you have and the power from the low notes you have and combining them together. Hope that helps!

Nashville Vocal Studio thanks a lot for replying! I’ll definitely try the sliding technique then. Appreciate the advice.

Nashville Vocal Studio 😯 I meant I can't play it but can do the voice part, not your playing of it. I enjoyed the video. Greetings from Oz.

James French ha! Well, perfect. The good thing about this exercise, if the piano part is difficult, is that you don’t have to have set pitches. That part adds in extra control, which is great but you just want to slide over your break area - and really throughout your entire range. Hope that helps and thank you!
