Why YouTube Subscription Notifications Gone in Gmail - Work Around URL Helps

Thank you! I have been trying to figure out why these notifications stopped! I assumed I must have changed some setting without realizing it. I am surprised this change did not attract more attention, complaints and so forth. Now that I understand what happened (thought not why) I can go back to my old method, as you suggest, of browsing new subscription videos under the Subscriptions tab.

Thanks for the update! This is really a stupid thing for them to do. The subscriptions option works but it works for everything. That was the whole point, I only wanted to know right away when certain Tubers updated. Not everyone I have subscribed too. What a mess. Thanks for your efforts on this, it had me stumped. Oh, and to the best of my knowledge I NEVER saw any mention/email/notification from them about this...

Yes I have complained about the lack of Email notifications....and now I notice the notifications bell has started missing you tube channels that I am subbed too.

Work Around For Notifications kzbin.infosubscriptions?flow=1 RSS Feeds are another way if you like using that.

Thanks for the information! I was going crazy asking myself, "What did I do wrong?" and trying to fix it. Now I know I can't. No more notifications on the email. Really annoying!

your Primary told you new subscribers joined, go on youtube , go on your profile, go to studio creator, look at to the right, mid way you will see recent subscribers there, then looking at who you subscribed to.

Pretty obvious why they did this. They don't want people just clicking on e-mail links to their favorite YT video channels, they would prefer everyone go to the YT homepage where THEY can then suggest for you the videos that make them the most money.

It's not a fix, it's just a help for a fix. This is a Reddit thread of mine. It has the original KZbin email HTML code. People can use it to make a program to notify about new videos - I made one in Python, for example. Maybe someone sees this and makes some site that does that (or not because maybe that would be very expensive? no idea). But at least for personal use it can work. I still receive email notifications. Just now from an assistant haha. Anyways, here is the link to the thread: www.reddit.com/r/youtube/comments/iz8ygk/workaround_for_youtube_stopping_sending_video/. *_PS:_* about the Subscriptions idea, I use Improved KZbin (an extension for Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge - the new one, but no idea for Opera or Firefox or others). I can set the main KZbin page there when I go to youtube.com. It automatically redirects to the Subscriptions page - which I don't use, anyways, but it's still good to have there.
