I didn’t know. I didn’t know who he was. I had just moved to ATL in 06. He was my alternate barber when my barber couldn’t get me and he was so humble he never said he was producing for Gucci and they never talked about him like that in the shop. He was cutting at First Class in Stonecrest mall. I don’t think he stopped cutting until he started working on stuff for Usher like a couple years later.

I look up to zay so much, I enrolled into barber college, bought my own laptop and keyboard and started teaching myself how to make beats. There’s so many guys out there getting famous off of their beats but they have connections. I have no one but myself. I’m 30 years old and meeting zaytoven and talking to him is at the top of my bucket list. He’s the best... hands down
