Anya's speech though ! The episode totally fucked me up, I can't remember a time when I watch it without crying. This episode is so... human, no more slayer, no more vampire or werewolf, just a girl who just lost her mom, that kind of pain is so hard to be portrayed on TV, and yet, Josh Wedon manage to make us feel it even though we weren't those who were there. This episode and this show is just a masterpiece.

Ethienne De Gagne Joss is actually God sent imo, he helps us deal with real life tragedies in an art form. If it wasn’t for this show I don’t know where I would find the strength to deal with life when it beats you and drags you through the mud.
@drixcaster51693 жыл бұрын
@@ANGELCRYPT0 Agree! Buffy/Angel tv series saved me a lot. I cried many times in the body episode. It was just exactly how I dealt with my aunt's death. She died from a lupus disease (My aunt was more of a mother figure to me). Different scenarios flashed in my mind of what might happened if she was still alive. I think it was fate too, I was watching Buffy Season 5 and I didn't expect that Joyce died. This show made me cope up with everything in my life. And I'm rewatching the series. By far, the most realistic show despite the magics and demons in it.

I watched all of buffy with my mum and I remember watching this and bawling my eyes out. Just thought of losing her breaks my heart and seeing buffy go through that was so sad 🥺. And that part where Anya is just so confused is what truly got me. Because I was so used to seeing her be the upbeat, sarcastic one and then to see her break and just so confused was heartbreaking. ♥️

Anya always gets me in this one. It was like she was saying everything I felt when my papa died when I was little, and I couldn't understand anything. Like, I thought if I opened his eyes back up, he would be alive again. I just couldn't understand how his body could be there, and he wasn't. Honestly, it still doesn't really make sense to me.

I caught this episode last night on Syfy and It was truly one of the most moving pieces of television I've ever seen. I applaud the show creators for giving the episode a completely different atmosphere compared to every other episode on the show. The removal of the intro and all music was genius and it adds so much to the emotion of the episode. And some of the scenes here... Let's just say I've never cried so much in a long time. Death can be a complicated issue for some people to fully accept and this episode gives us a perfect example of that. Once again, God bless everyone who was a part of the episode. Moving onto the video though, I think you did a great job. I won't lie when I say that I ended up drowning in more tears in this than I did last night. The editing, the music, the transitions, they are all spectacular. This is an incredible tribute to an incredible episode. Good job on everything. Buffy fans such as myself love these types of videos, you did us a good deed by making this my friend.

You SHOULDN'T have added ANY music to this clip. It completely loses the rawness that the actual episode had. That is why the episode is so gut wrenching, moments like these aren't 'cinematic', they are just crude. Thanks for posting the video anyway.
@kensimon28507 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Whedon made a conscious choice to not add music. As he said, "Music is a comfort, even if it's sad. We didn't want to give the audience comfort at this moment, so they could experience what Buffy was going through in each moment." And Gellar played it perfectly, that dazed, almost-cold feeling inside.
@SweetAndBitterCherry7 жыл бұрын
Ken Simon I know why he didn't added the music to the episode and I loved that choice. But this is my fan video and I added the music cause I wanted to. I love the episode and I wanted to edit something about it, just that. The episode has its sense without music but my video isn't the episode, it's just a fan video about an amazing episode, so.. anyway thanks for watching it.
