For me, I started way back when just to have some videos for my son to see when I am gone. I have such a tiny bit of physical memories of my Dad. Mitchell has way more than he probably wants of me to look back at!! As time went on, I wanted to get a bit better at creating those memories, and started paying attention to others. Meeting other folks in the community has been an extremely pleasant surprise side effect of doing this little hobby!!! Sometimes it feels like it’s work, that’s when I take a break, and remember it’s all for me, not for the viewers. But it’s certainly the viewers, and the comments that keep me motivated to keep doing this!! Great question Bob!!!

I think for me it's been meeting fantastic people like you Patrick. The people make it fun.

It just seems like fun sometimes. I have met incredible people and some amazing rides and fun. I have tried to not let it control me. I will get back to it a lot more real soon. I will start traveling driving a tour bus, that should be interesting. You keep it up my friend, I ride with you. Be safe, have fun.

We all need to just do it for fun or it becomes a job.

We started KZbin in hopes to meet all the others that ride bikes and have channels. It’s definitely not for the money 😅👍

I did also, and it works.

Glad your sharing these vids with the community, we bond even more, helps me not to be as selfish. You do have valid Questions, I ran those same things in my head as well.

Everyone has reasons. I don't script any of my content and usually think of things when I'm out on the road.

OK when I think I first started out, I wanted to see if anybody would like the type of things I talked about what I said and how I did my videos. It was exciting to know that other people I didn’t know might be interested in what I put out there.😊

And you are doing great. Wish I could have been at VAMM (first one missed).

I wanted to share my rides. Then I realized I can be somewhat entertaining, so I leaned into that... and teach people [hence the 2nd channel]. Then I found out how much fun I had recording & editing. Then I realized I could make some money at it, so I want to grow it to the point where it pays for itself, because I like new gear and it ain't cheap. Sometimes it feels like work... then I take a break. But you can tell from my videos that it's a lot of fun, or at least, *I* am having fun :D

My friend, you are a spotlight of how this should be approached. Keep them coming, the world needs more of you.

@@bobnelson2499 Thanks, Bob! That really means a lot to me. I spend a lot of time wondering if I should even keep doing this stuff.

When I first started, it was for my own personal enjoyment so when I'm old I can look back. Then I found Moto-Vloggers, and so it goes. I get to see and meet great people from around the country and world such as yourself. It's not about money, it's just to share my little piece of this great big world. Take care and be safe.

Great question Bob. Definitely not the money. Just for me to record the experience I guess. God knows what I do isn't of much interest to anyone else 🤷

Jim, I think viewing what everyone is doing has much more value than the drama in the world. Keep it up.
