To everybody doubting his gameplay because of his stat block or lack of KOs, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, Venom's job as a dive tank is to disrupt the backline and prevent them from doing their job. He does exactly that, even if it doesnt result in him getting a pick. At several points he took strategists out of the fight long enough to allow his team to push objective or get a pick of their own. Two, hes playing in a Top 500 lobby against a Luna and a Mantis who, because he's pressuring them, know they both have to save their CC to use on him. When he eats the sedate or ice block, its about a 50/50 for him living or dying, but Mantis and Luna cannot use that cooldown for anything else or he gets a free punish. He's also playing into a Punisher thats babysitting the backline (again because of him) which doesnt allow Punisher to get full value. At this ELO, incoming damage is so focused that he also cannot engage with web swing because it leaves him with no escape and fights happen so fast it wont be off cool down in time to use it again. He expertly uses walls for mobility and engagements with his dive, and zips out with Resilience+Web Swing. Watch when he swings -- he's mastered his movement tech. There are fair arguments that Venom just has a hard time hanging at high ELO compared to other vanguard options, but doubting this man's abilities when he's playing Venom optimally is just silly. Its like you all expect him to go 30-0 with 80% accuracy and 80k damage blocked. And the obsession with stat lines shows a lack of understanding of the impact hes actually making on the game. Disruption is the name of the game and that doesnt show up when you press Tab.

so glad someone was here to say that cause these people that are saying his gameplay wasn't good are just brain dead idiots obsessed with stat boards and and show a lack of understanding of venoms role . Tbh vemom should almost never be mvp or have highest stats because thats just they way to play him . exceptional gameplay from this person my only flaw was that they didn't play around health packs as much as they should had . people complaining are most likely bronze or quickplay dumb asses that expect him to go 56/0 with 95% accuracy as u said .

For those saying that this guy sucks, not only is he playing against some of the highest ranked players in the game, hes forced to deal with punisher in the backline, he has the impact he needs. If you’re gonna stat stacy him then you’re just dumb. Forced a raccoon swap to namor because of the dives.

I don't exactly see how this guy is number one. He had multiple DPS almost dead and just let them run away. When he wasn't in a situation where he was dying. He let psylocke walk right past him. His movement's also extremely slow

This guy aint no 1 on venom who just becomes high rank becomes famous isnt rank 1 im grandmaster venom 100 hours and i have better stat gameplay and at best i blocked like 100k damage as venom i checked his stats he got like 30k he gets so less damage or impact aswell he gets bad players on enemy team aswell
